Computer Knowledge and Skills

I have been using a Macintosh computer in a prepress department for over fifteen years. Adobe CS5 software and QuarkXPress are some of the programs I use on a daily basis on both Mac and PC platforms. I have used Standard Page Tool, Art Pro, Alan Ripping System and Preps for imposition. Delta Technology, Alan Ripping System, Harlequin and Rampage are ripping systems I have used throughout my printing career along with a variety of proofing equipment and film/platesetters.

My daily duties include reviewing customer files, creating mock-ups, color corrections, photo retouching, trapping, imposition, spot and process color separations, proof and plate output for web and sheetfed presses. I am occasionally needed in production meetings to head off or help solve production issues. Products are primarily coupon booklets, statements, envelopes, checks and inserts for financial institutions.
