SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Established start-up company. Realized market opportunity for high quality customized homes at Premier. Developed business plan, secured investment capital, and built model home. Grew to 50 units annually and $10M in sales over five years. Won community recognition for quality construction.
Achieved brand awareness. Learned that subdivision would hold a Parade of Homes. Worked with architect to develop appropriate design that fit the theme of the Parade. Won Best Architecture and Best Interior Design awards. Received news coverage in all local papers, catapulting sales growth.
Partnered with large builders, growing revenue. SMB was approached by two additional builders for sub-contracted services. Undertook aggressive recruitment campaign, hiring additional journey and entry level personnel. Trained new staff. Enabled company to increase sales by $1.5M over two years.
Created joint venture to support national business. Bomark Mills won contract from Walt Disney licensee and needed more production space. Identified partner to build new site, obtained capital, and doubled production capacity. Improved efficiency. Grew business from $5M to $10M in revenues.
Opened nationwide distribution channels. With business expansion, Bomark realized it could improve service by adding locations in western and eastern regions. Worked with realtors, obtained sites, purchased equipment, and set up IT networks. Hired and trained staff. Supported 150% boost in sales from $10M to $16M.
CAREER HISTORY
General Manager, Premier Custom Home Builders, 2000 to Present. Direct P&L for $10M residential home building company including sales, administration, architectural services, and all construction. Positioned three model homes in key residential areas, building market awareness/revenues. Manage seven staff and contractors.
Director, Operations and Finance, SMB Construction, 1996 to 2001. Led 10 construction crews for this $3M framing company. Delivered framing, decking and cornices to major home builders such as Pulte Homes, Perry Homes, and D.R. Horton. Managed $3M budget and outside contractors, delivering 5200 homes annually.
Manager, Purchasing and Production, Bomark Sportswear, 1988 to 1995. Managed 311 personnel and production for this $30M manufacturer. Sourced raw materials, negotiated contracts, and managed inventory/warehousing. Opened two new warehouse sites, facilitating nationwide distribution. Directed $12M budget.
