Project Description: The projects involved performing pre-launch cluster drives for ATT/Ericsson and also assist in evaluating fill in sites for increased market expansion and capacity. Assist in improving network performance by troubleshooting the RF coverage issues in the field. Moreover, coordinating with senior RF Engineers to investigate and analyze activities related to various communication systems such as GSM, CDMA, UMTS and LTE.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Working knowledge of GSM and UMTS UTRAN and air-interfaces with the ability to apply it to the strategic benefit of the organization.

• Experience with RAN performance improvement in GSM and UMTS.

• working with clients to effectively prioritize activities, achieve defined objectives, and translate operational requirements into technical solutions

• ASSET - RSCP, Ec/Io, "tilt only" optimizations, downtilt justifications, neighbor relationships, capacity planning, scrambling code planning, Monte Carlo simulations, ACP optimizations, input parameters vs. site database consistency, propagation model analysis.

• ACTIX Analyzer - Best Server RSCP, Best Server Ec/Io, Dl Uu Scan Coverage, Long/Short call UE TX Power, Access Fails, Call Drops, Pilot Pollution, Individual Sector Plots and down tilt determinations, KPI Reports, Radio Interface, transport channels and messaging windows analysis.

• Performed RF testing using TEMS investigation (ver. 8.2.2 & 8.2.5), AGILENT to carry out radio propagation, signal strength measurement and coverage analysis of the network.

• Perform Secure Site Verification (SSV) test for various cell sites on pre-launch of new 3G cell sites.

• Performed IRAT tests which include 3G to 2G CS cell reselection in idle mode, 2G to 3G CS cell reselection in idle mode.

• Conducted IRAT testing (Functional and Boundary) on UMTS boundaries to check handoffs between UMTS and GSM.

• Generate and analyze KPI reports using TEMS and ACTIX

• Troubleshooting interference problem by frequency retuning and optimization.

Associate Validation & Test Engineer

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide active support for optimizing, analyzing and improving performance of GSM CDMA2000, UMTS technologies in addition to modem testing.

• Participate in ALG customer support for testing and validating mobile platforms.

• Participate to debug and first analysis of issues with the development team (L1, L2 & L3 protocol stack layers).

• Assist in testing and verifying physical layer and network protocol requirements.

• Open all issues through defect management tool with the appropriate severity then act proactively to obtain his correction and verify it is well corrected.

• Assist in monitoring quality metrics of the overall software system from day to day and ensure that any regressions in quality or functionality are identified and dealt with Environment: GSM/GPRS and 3G functional and robustness testing using Agilent/Anritsu, Tests on Live Network. • Performance testing of voice and IP traffic over communications network.

• Work closely with telecommunications system analyst and provide basic contribution to proposals, reports and presentation under the guidance of higher officials and resources.

• Develop understanding of various wireless communications technologies (W-CDMA, UMTS, GSM and other standard wireless technology) to assist in design.
