Projects undertaken

1. Title: Four Leg Moving Mechanism

Description: The main objective of the project is to understand usage of mechanical mechanism and our basic knowledge of engineering. It can be used in high temperature environmental conditions where humans cannot go and work for example, in nuclear power plants.

2. Title: Gas To Gas Cross Flow Heat Transfer

Description: The main objective of this project is to design and build a gas to gas cross flow heat exchanger and determine its performances. Cross flow heat exchanger is a vertically mounted rectangular section duct with opaque steel. In flow arrangements the cold air flows inside the tubes and so is not to move in transverse directions, therefore cold air is said to be unmixed whereas the hot air flows over the tubes and is free to move in transverse directions and is said to be mixed. It is seen that heat transfer coefficient for tube side is greater than the shell side, as compared to shell side; tube side fluid looses heat more effectively.

Accomplishments:

• Secured TRITIYA SOPAN and RAJYA PURASKAR certificate in BHARATH SCOUTS AND GUIDES.

• Secured first place in DISTRICT level hockey tournament held at Dharwad.

• Secured 2 place in Bangalore region cluster level kho-kho tournament.

• Participated in VTU power lifting competition and secured 4 place with an overall weight of 285 kg.

• Represented 3 times VTU hockey tournament.
