University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee WI
Assisted in research activities for high-performance cement based composites, application of nano-materials in construction, and waste utilization.
Performed analysis with provided procedures for new sustainable cement technology that minimizes the environmental damage caused by cement production.
Using various mixing procedures, prepared different concrete mixes to increase the development of early-aged strength, improve tensile/flexural strength without any extra Portland cement content. A new method was proposed for engineering of nano-cement based on the introduction of super-fine, submicro and/or nano-sized cement in blended binders.
Through super-fine grinding of the mentioned materials, developed a novel strategy that significantly enhances the surface area and improves the pozzolanic potential and reaction ability of mineral additives.
Conducted compression testing for the molded cube particles of concrete for 1, 7 and 28 days and maintained good test records.
Engineering Co-op August 2008 – December 2008; May 2009 – August 2009
City of Waukesha, Waukesha WI
