US Army – Fort Bragg, North Carolina/L3 Communications

Developed a solution that allowed US Army combat personnel to order supplies via a ruggedized, handheld scanner. Order requests were sent via the web. Previously, orders were taken using pen and paper, and phone. With the orders being fulfilled almost immediately, the benefits included substantial cost savings, increased personnel moral positively, and thereby a higher combat readiness. Create the application using C#, XML, Transact SQL/SQL Server 2005, and IIS Web Server.

Part of team that rewrote, migrated, and redesigned a legacy application written in VB 6.0 that allowed agent salespeople to pre-configure commercial and industrial garage doors purchases before buying it. New business policies and processes were reflected in this new business application. This benefit increased bottom line sales and profits, better control on managing day-to-day operations. Created the application using C#, VB.NET ASP.NET, & Microsoft Transact SQL/SQL Server 2005.

Server Administrator, Supported Windows servers, Novell Netware servers and some VMWare servers. Support for these servers includes, break fix, incident management, configuration and compliance work. Also led small team of developers in software product development, taking high-level requirements and producing robust, web-based, HIPAA-compliant medical application that allowed mobile caregivers to apply a medical procedure, then input the patients’ vital information before sending that record into an insurance claims clearinghouse. Designed/developed health-care application that allowed a health-care company management to operate its business via the web. The modules developed included accounts payables, account receivables, patient scheduling, patient’s electronic medical records, medical procedure coding, timesheets, payroll, and a web-based online Certified Nursing Assistance certification course. This allowed medical professionals to provide better care to patient clients, and a faster turnaround payment to the caregiver company, and greatly improved patient data capture with the creation of logical and physical database design and workflow models that redefined healthcare efficiency.
