Design experience includes but is not limited to sheet metal design, decorative wire beam design, electro-mechanical design, power track layout, wire and extruded metal tubing security doors and the integration of all of these into custom display and interior design solutions. My responsibilities include all phases of product design & production including customer contact.

Asahi-America, Inc.

Designed kits & other assemblies from concept to production composed of metal and plastic parts to adapt valves to various electro-mechanical actuators and other devices using SolidWorks 2008 with focus on cost, ease of manufacture and design integrity. Also designed valve enclosures and custom pipe fittings and created piping layouts. Created and maintained a massive Excel spreadsheet directly linking all documentation for the department to the spreadsheet for use by Engineering & Manufacturing. Created ISO 9001 procedures & supervised one Designer.

Designed ergonomically-focused trading desks and control center desks using SolidWorks 2003 for design proposals. Designs included sheet metal, extrusions, wood and polyurethane work surfaces, electro-mechanical design, detail parts, sub-assemblies and final assemblies for concept, prototype and production. Designer of products related to the field of Telephony (voice activated products) in a mechanical/electro-mechanical design capacity. Supervised four drafters; acted as liaison to all departments on drafting, design, product structuring and product release and change process matters. Checked and approved documentation packages that included printed circuit board assemblies, mechanical detail drawings, packaging and all other levels of assembly. Created and continuously improved drafting & documentation procedures and established and maintained ISO 9000 procedures for the department. Maintained ECN tracking database. Assumed this position after ten years as a drafter/AutoCAD operator. Worked with a team to implement automated engineering documentation change/release process and software which operated in conjunction with the central manufacturing database.
