Summary:
Twenty three years experience in heavy construction. Implementation and contract administration of Instrumentation, Electrical, Warehousing, Safety, Hazardous material handling and containment, Industrial Hygiene.
Federal, State and OSHA guideline Loss Prevention, Training and Coordinating. Extensive Workers Comp. investigation.
Facilities include Petrochemical, Refinery, Grass Roots, Revamp, Power Plant Facility and Expansions of existing facilities.
Job duties include but not limited to the following:
• Policy administration, program implementation, and regulatory compliance.
• Regular and frequent safety inspections of the job site in cooperation with contractor/client superintendents and safety representatives. Documented inspections and appropriate follow-up to assure correction.
• Publish and monitor weekly safety meetings for craft personnel.
• Coordinate emergency care, case management, emergency evacuation systems.
• Maintain the injury/illness record system, including preparation of necessary reports, investigation of accidents/incidents with prompt notification of construction management, if warranted. The accident record system includes OSHA 300, OSHA 300a, OSHA 301, or an acceptable substitute, worker’s compensation records, and all accident/incident reports.
• Organize and perform weekly inspection of the job site with line management representatives.
• Hazard recognition training, answer any questions raised by those attending the training sessions, and administer testing to determine retention of the information presented in order to acquaint new employees with work site hazards, safe work procedures, and expected behavior.
• Establish, publicize, and report at scheduling and progress meetings the classifications of any injuries occurring on site and work practices that need to be revised to achieve the desired safety and health performance.
• Provide safety coordination, leadership, teamwork and advice to line management/contractors and organize training programs as requested.
ATCO Noise Management
ESH Supervisor: Empire Generation Project Dec. 2009 to Feb. 2010
Responsible for establishing and maintaining the exclusion zone on the Dual erection of 248 feet Stacks # 11 and #12. Lift plans for all critical lifts involving the stack cans using the 1200 Lieber crane for the stack process. Monitoring the STG and CTG roof work and permanent safety line installation signed over to Lockwood Greene.

ESH Specialist Engineer: Motiva CEP Joint Venture Aug. 2008 to July 2009
Persistence in educating, training and raising awareness for a positive safety culture. Accomplished the reforming of the project STARRT program to ensure each employee understands safe work execution of each task prior to performing work.
Work with employees and front line supervisors in implementing compliance, regulations, audits and safe work practices. Persistence in educating the importance of Hazardous Work Permit processes. Field audits and observations of task assignments on ergonomics and repetitious work habits.
Diligent in raising moral through recognition, hazard awareness through training and involvement in work activities and participation in mitigation methods with craft, field Supervision and Managers. Our SOR (safety observation report) program participation in Indirect department went from “0” to over “2000” observations a month in less than 60 days.
Involved in preparation of heavy vessel, modules and prefab steel structures received onshore at the Port and transported to site for installation. My area of responsibility involved all Heavy lifts throughout 11 different units, 12 lay down yards within a 15 mile radius of the plant, leadership and teamwork interaction and guidance for Indirect Sub-Contractors totaling 686 employees out of 3000 on site employees total.
