Title: Submission Templates

Jan 2009 to Present

Brief Profile:

• Marsh is the world's leading insurance broker and strategic risk advisor and is part of the family of MMC companies. Submission Templates is a customization of MS Word templates with VSTO 2008 and is used by the client team for policy endorsements.

• Project is to provide tactical support for the interim replacement of the existing VB6.0 and Microsoft Excel Smart Form tool, which is currently used to consistently collect minimal placement activity, satisfy disclosure requirements, and send invoicing information downstream, and provide a source of benchmarking and management reporting information.

• Provided customization to the MS Word Submission templates with user friendly UI with the help of VSTO customization with C#.NET.

• Performed integration of Java Web Service with MS Excel for getting Enhance commission (EC) percentages, as well as saving application data to the Oracle database.

• Created MS word templates and customized them with VSTO and C#.NET.

Title: WinCert-NetCert

Mar 2008 to Dec 2008

Brief Profile:

• WinCert-NetCert is an enterprise-wide application for insurance certificate issuing. It is developed in VB6.0 and COM components.

• Project is to migrate existing enterprise-wide WinCert-NetCert application to ASP.NET and C#.NET application. Existing WinCert application consists of various services for printing, faxing, etc. of insurance certificates. Various approaches were proposed to do migration of VB6.0 applications to VB.NET,C#.NET and ASP.NET, some of them line in build facility provided in VS 2005/2005 to convert VB6.0 to VB.NET, which will save time in designing Windows forms as well some coding in VB.NET and Web Service and other utilities in C#.NET.

• NetCert was an ASP application that needed to be migrated to ASP.NET web application; performed and analysis of existing application and re-architected it to ASP.NET web application.

• Proposed migration of MS Access database to SQL Server 2000, which is cost-effective in terms of the time required to process access db data and further reporting purpose.

• Umbrella Wired is an insurance domain application. In this application agents can generate Online Quote/Bind proposals for the Insurance Policy. Underwriter can approve the quoted proposals so as the agent can proceed with binding the policy and underwriter can also reject the policies.

• In this project we used web service for data access layer and separate web service for rating engine.
