Manufacturing/Controls Engineer

• Daily monitoring and maintenance of automated end of line testers which include PLC’s and Labview based testing platforms.

• Designing, building, and programming of automated end of test equipment and sub assembly stations. (Knowledge in automated processes included sensors, vision systems, actuators, data collection, bar coding, tooling, etc.)

• Responsible for all technical-related projects involving product performance testing and evaluation (Enova, Think).

• Conduct a variety of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical tests on electronic systems and subassemblies like (Controller card, IGBT drivers, and DC/DC converter for 90KW & 120KW hybrid Power Drive Systems) to ensure unit functions according to specification or to determine the cause of unit failure.

• Read test schedules, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, wiring diagrams and schematics to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used.

• Connect test unit to test equipment such as high voltage power supply, signal generator, frequency meter of spectrum analyzer, 8KW Inductive Load, DC Electronic Load, differential probe.

• Perform data analysis, technical report writing, test standards updates, and instructional procedures.

• Compare results with specifications and record data. Analyze test results on defective units to determine cause of failure.

• Setup and conduct routines and tests on internal and field failures as issued by engineers and record the results.

• Confirm with engineers, technicians, and production personnel regarding testing procedures and results to resolve problems.
