Achievements:

Operated a consulting business providing program and project development services. Work included business organization, feasibility studies, owner’s representative services, and related project management activities. Developed successful construction loan proposals and start-up business plans. Managed hotel, condominium, historic remodel, office, and many industrial, mechanical HVAC and engineering projects.

Managed the successful turnaround of a troubled construction branch office. Restored profitability in under 6 months; added four new Fortune 500 clients within twelve months. Managed parallel contracts in a Shell Chemical plant, and increased contract profitability by twenty-two percent and revenues by four hundred percent.

Negotiated a multi-million dollar gravel and water lease - doubled client's royalties. Organized ten small business start-ups; acted as advisor for three of them. Wrote and presented $250mm equity offering for a basic metals project located in Canada.

Performed value engineering on two large industrial projects, and several commercial projects. Wrote a guide for rapid estimation of shop assembly costs for skidded process plant units – guide was published in a trade magazine. Wrote a design-build instruction manual for execution of design-build work for small engineer-constructor. Organized and trained two successful project estimating groups for major engineering companies. Trainees are now managers.
