Project Details:

Project Name: Computation Validation of Flow Field Turbulence

Software used: ANSYS ICEM CFD & CFX

Project Aim : To compute the flow conditions over the sphere model as produced in

the real time conditions. This is basically to show the software proficiency.

Description :

We designed and analyzed a sphere model at various flow conditions and

velocities as in the wind tunnel and real flight conditions to predict the flow properties

across the sphere model using the above software. We validated our computed results

with those results got experimentally, on a real wind tunnel & real flight conditions in

order to show our proficiency in the software.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Monitor the Field events happening around the world on daily basis and document

them in Screen team sheet for analysis.

Analyze the field events with the help of teardown reports / Maintenance &

Overhaul manuals / parts catalogue / contact reports and identify the root cause

of the event and categorize them as Basic or Non-basic (Engine related or Non-

Engine related issue).

Analyze the identified defects and take corrective action to prevent recurrence

through Service bulletins, service information letters, design change etc.

Conduct weekly screen team meetings to interact with PW&C counter-part and

discuss the field events and review it.

Conduct reliability meetings every month to monitor, discuss & to take actions to

keep the engine reliability in good status.

Support PW&C Service engineering from Bangalore and assist them in providing

Reliability related request.

Industrial Visits and In-Plant Trainings

Went to C.S.I.R, Chennai and studied the various works undergoing, instruments

and equipments, their usages and limitations, etc… as an industrial visit.

Underwent In-plant training in HAL-Helicopter division, Bangalore for a period

of 15 days in fabrication, assembling, overhauling divisions.

Underwent In-plant training in Agni aviations, Bangalore and studied various

tools and equipments used in inspection, repairs and overhauling of various

aircrafts such as Cessna...
