10/2008 – 12/2009 Peoplesoft to SAP. During this time I was assigned to SAP BW team to help migrate data from PeopleSoft to SQL then to SAP. We created many SSIS packages to help migrate master data. I was solely responsible to deploy, configure Business Objects XI R2 with SAP and Window AD SSO.

3/2009 – 8/2009 Performance tuning. During this time we targeted our external websites, databases used for reporting and payroll to tune. We implemented several new indexes as well as statistics. Our best improvement was 75% increase in speed.

9/2009 – 1/2010 Upgrade and migration of Business Objects from XI R2 to version 3.1. We also decided to change from IIS to Tomcat as this has more readily available features. We moved 92 reports and migrated over 1400 users.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and maintain 8 SQL2005, 2 SQL 2008, 9 SQL 2000Servers, a Business Objects implementation

Technical Adviser to GIS 4.1 and Kronos 6.0 Installation

Creation of new databases, involving importing and exporting and maintenance

Handled database server tuning, application tuning, maintaining documentation, capacity planning and database security.

Created new users, set up backup schedule, export, and other monitoring scripts

Implemented database refresh for Development and QA environments through multiple SSIS packages .

Created automated data backup and restoration procedures.

Key Projects

8/2006 – 2/2007 Project lead for migration of Windows Servers to new corporate headquarters. Including migration to Exchange 2003, 8 Blade Citrix Farm for Desktop use. During this project we moved about 20 windows servers as well as a SAN and Unix servers.

3/2007 – 6/2007 Migration to payroll from Kronos version 5 to version 6. In this project I was responsible for moving the SQL database from SQL 2000 to SQL 2005 as well as sql user accounts. I also oversaw the outsourced Kronos migration team.

7/2007 - 1/2008 Because of the need for outside offices to access Corporate resources as well as be autonomous I recommended that we create child domains. In that project DFRS replication was implemented as well to increase access speed of large design images.

1/2008 – 10/2008 We implemented a Microsoft ISA 2006 and Sharepoint 2007 to allow access to internal websites and created a new Corporate Portal.

4/2008 - 9/2008 To take advantage of features in GIS we migrated to version 4.1. In this project I configured windows and upgraded SQL database from SQL 2000 to SQL 2005. I also oversaw the outsourced upgrade team.

6/2009 – 12/2009 Implement a SAP Citrix solution in which we had all users use Citrix thin client to use the offsite hosted SAP solution.

Responsibilities:

Supported 1200 users in 10 locations worldwide including 200 Citrix desktop users.

Responsible for hardware and software applications for more than 50 windows servers including more than 10 SQL Servers.

Administered all local and remote server backups with Veritas Backup Exec.

2001 – 2006 Choice One Online Buffalo, NY

Responsibilities:

Support and configuration of 24 Windows based Servers in 3 separate domains. Consisting of 13 Web Servers, 5 DNS & Domain Controllers, 6 SQL 2000 Servers and 1 Exchange Server as well as several administrative servers.

5 Web Servers are in a Shared Hosting Environment that supports FrontPage 2002, ASP applications, .NET, Perl, PHP, Cold Fusion as well as standard html.
