• Master’s Thesis: “Size Reduction of Drugs by Wet-Milling”. Process set-up and optimization of milling parameters for micronization of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API’s). Characterization of milled suspensions by determining particle size distribution using Light Scattering, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) images and Zeta potential. Determination of form of API’s by Differential Scanning Calorimetery and X-ray Diffraction. The project was funded by Engineering Research Center (ERC)-National Science Foundation (NSF) Key Accomplishments: Prepared stable drug suspensions in presence of polymers and surfactant for oral drug delivery.

“Thermal Management of Electronics using Phase Change Materials”: Performed simulations by developing a mathematical model for thermal storage units and carried out experiments to determine an effective thermal storage unit which was subjected to heat loads. Fabricated thermal conductivity enhancers for the above experiments (Pin & Plate type) and compared their efficiencies.

1. Perform standard qualitative and quantitative analysis as per Indian and International Standards.
a) Water analysis for potability as per IS: 10500, Industrial effluents as per IS: 3025.
b) Analysis of Minerals like Iron ore, Manganese ore, Lime stone, Dolomite etc as per IS standards. By both wet chemical methods and instrumental methods.
c) Analysis of Metals conducted by Optical Spectrometry (Spectromaxx F – Germany) mainly Low Alloy Steels (LAS), SS metals, HSS steel & Aluminum alloys and checked for compliance with IS/BS/ASTM/DIN Standards specification.
2. Assist with troubleshooting analytical methodology and instrumentation malfunctions, and validation of testing methods.
3. Revise and prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Maintain records of all analysis information as per NABL & ISO norms on data sheets.
4. Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.
