Dear Hiring Manager:
I am interested in learning more about your job posting for a Designer position.
I have recently earned my Bachelor of Science degree from the Florida State University in Clothing, Textiles, and Merchandising in 2010. I have also earned a Minor in Communications.
In addition to my formal education, I have participated in numerous fashion shows where my designs were showcased with other well-known designers. I have my own personal website where you may view a slideshow of my fashion shows, some of my design sketches, as well as my art. I will be updating my website on a regular basis to include additional designs, et cetera. Please review my website at www.AshleybyAshley.com.
As you will see from my resume, I had the opportunity to Intern with Chief Executive Officer, Amy Gordon, of Artfulwears.com. Ms. Gordon has received many accolades in the fashion industry, which are noted on her website www.artfulwears.com/press.shtml. While interning at Artfulwears.com, I gained valuable experience performing online styling, styling, fabric sourcing, designing, editing with Photo Shop, researching new labels, maintaining the online blog, updating the website, performing online marketing, creating online mailing lists, updating other sites such as Facebook, and tracking and updating on-site and online inventories.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to review my credentials and qualifications. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss a position with your company.
