2011 –2011 Digital Media Manager

Cataloging and managing all digital media for television broadcast, “Moneywise with Kelvin Boston”, a PBS television series. All media was ingested into a desk top computer for each show. It is then, converted and or digitized for editing. Other responsibilities included, editing and transferring digital media from DVD’s and editing segments into the shows.

2005 – 2010 Sports Logger

Log all plays of live sporting events by choosing the athletic highlights for affiliate feeds and CNN Headline News sports segments. 2006 – 2007 Chyron Operator

Turner Sports Atlanta, GA

Composed and created all lower thirds and full screen graphics for network broadcast of live remote sporting events. Worked with a production assistant to develop pre-produced graphics packages that were relevant to the story being told. Time sensitive graphics were updated for the game of the night broadcasts to ensure timeliness, symmetry, diction, spelling and synergy. The graphics created were then played back during the live telecast of the game. Precise execution and intense knowledge of the broadcast equipment was essential to the commercial success of the product.

1997 – 2005 Supervisor

WCBS-TV New York, NY

Served as supervisor of the control room graphics production area. Managed software upgrades and creative changes, while supervising a small staff for production needs. Strong equipment and communication skills, created the opportunity to serve as a liaison among the control room, creative services and the production staff. Project management skills were used to take graphics packages from creative services and make them broadcast-ready within tightly defined deadlines. Performed a key role in providing control room production playback during live productions on a daily basis.

Emmy - CBS Sports 1994 – Participated in and supported a graphics team that created and played back graphics for CBS Sports’ 1994 Winter Olympics production in Lillehammer, Norway.

Emmy – CBS Sports 1998 – Participated in and supported a graphics team that created and played back graphics for CBS Sports’ 1998 Winter Olympics production in Nagano, Japan.

Emmy – WCBS-TV 1993 – New York. Participated as Chyron operator covering live breaking news of a dramatic apartment fire that greatly impacted the rush hour traffic and the surrounding area. This live coverage informed the public of the efforts to extinguish the blaze and how to avoid this hazardous situation.

Emmy – WCBS-TV 1994 – New York, New York. Participated as Chyron operator covering the live breaking news of tragic car accident that impacted morning rush hour traffic safety. This live coverage informed the public of how to avoid the situation and find alternative solutions to this problem.
