Jurong Town Corporation (JTC) Jurong West, Singapore

Project Includes:

Underground Caverns and Galleries (e.i. series of tunnels, access shaft), Associated Underground and Aboveground Facilities (e.i. steel tanks, piping) and Jetty.

Duties and Responsibilities:

-Responsible for inspection of civil work undeground and tunnel support work, including road pavement, drainage, pipe support foundation, rock bolting and shotcreting.

-Witnessing laboratory and field tests e.g.; compressive strength test for concrete, shotcrete, cement grout; in-situ FDT using nuclear method; Rock bolt pull-out test and SEPT; ect.

-Prepare and review RFI, prior to inspection. Coordinate to consultant and third party inspectors.

-Ensuring best quality of the work is achieved and according to project spec., local and international standards.

-Perform routine inspections and monitor progress for paving and drainage works.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Prepare ITR/RFI, MRIR, and QCR to be submitted to consultant. Prepare/ review of ITP and Method Statements.

- Conduct WQT as per WPS (ASME Sec. IX), with acceptance criteria ASME B31.1 and ASME Sec. VIII. Inspect field welding activities.

- Ensure the Quality of the on-going work by supervising and witnessing tests in accordance to BS, API, ANSI, AISC, ASME, and DIN and to project specification.

- Inspection of Construction Materials and Equipments delivered on site.

- Inspection/Supervision of pipe laying works (staking out, ROW, trenching, bedding, stringing, pipe alignment, backfilling) and other appurtenances.

-Checking holiday and DFT of Pipe Coating (FBE). Supervision/ inspection of pipe coating and coating repair.

- Inspect (verticality, torque check ect.) structural steel erection including wall cladding installation and appurtenances.

- Inspect/ monitor the construction of chambers, valves/pipes/pumps supports, concrete ducts. Inspection of rebars arrangement and shuttering/formworks.

Project Phase II (Shuqaiq KSA) (Project Cost = 880+ Million USD)

Project Includes:

Total of 965 km CS Pipeline including station piping(var. diameter), construction of access and ROW including Permanent Maintenance road, construction of 19 Steel Tank Reservoir, 10 Concrete Reservoir, 3 Elevated Steel Tanks, Pump Building, Electrical Building, Station Piping, one 2 km and three 1 km Tunnel.

Duties and Responsibilities:

-Inspection of (120,000 cu.m. tank capacity) tank foundation construction in accordance to project specification and code standards (e.i. BS 8110 Concrete Construction, BS 1881part 101/116 Concrete Test, ASTM D 1556 Soil Test method FDT/ Troxler).

-Witnessing site soil testing for foundation (Trial Pits, Cross hole/ bore hole test, Plate load test) and soil improvement for structural foundation. Inspect Steel rebars fixing for steel tanks and pump house foundations.

-Pre-concrete inspections of rebars, shuttering/formwork, scaffolds and inserts. Checking during concrete casting work of structural members. Post-pour checking and testing

-Inspection of tank erection/ construction according to project specifications and API 650/ 653

-Prepare ITR/RFI, MRIR, and ITP/Method Statement to be submitted to consultant.

-Coordinate and conduct site inspection together with consultant/clients.

-Guide Site engineers about the different construction codes and project specification/requirements so the work would be acceptable to the consultant/client.

-Inspection of structural steel erection for pump house and electrical bldg.

-Inspect Tunnel Construction according to New Austrian Tunneling Method (NATM) procedure and standards.

-Proofreading and review of approved for construction plans and documents.
