Pennzoil - Quaker-State Refinery ; Sr. Reliability Electrical Engineer; April, 2000 - March, 2001 ( plant closed )

Implemented a plant wide High Voltage Power Distribution Upgrade which improved the reliability of the 12.47 KV power distribution system, as well as the medium and low voltage systems. Implemented preventative maintenance and improvement programs on the overall power distribution system from the 480 VAC to the 12.47 KV system. Reduced power related outages within the refinery by over 50%. Implemented safety practices and presenting monthly safety discussions. Specified, designed, and installed AC variable frequency motor drive systems, which has improved control and reduced reliability issues.
