Inside Sales Account Executive/IT Recruiting Manager

I relocated to State College, PA in September of 2007 to take on a new opportunity as an Account Executive/Recruiting Manager with a small IT Staffing agency. While at Stanley Reid I provided top talent to IT firms that service the US Intelligence agencies and the Department of Defense located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Within my first 6 months as a recruiter with Stanley Reid I accomplished over $200k in placement fees. As an Account Executive I was the hunter, relationship builder, negotiator and closer. I brought on many accounts and then through time and building relationships was given recruiting exclusivity for many projects staffing candidates for Project & Program Managers, Software Engineering positions specializing in Java/J2EE, Oracle Developers, Windows Kernel Developers, MAXIMO Developers, and many more IT professionals. All positions required candidates to have an active high security clearance to work in military bases and different locations around Washington, DC. I built relationships with C-level executives and hiring managers to gain understanding of their current opportunities and handled all contract negotiations for contractors and permanent placements. After gaining that understanding of their opportunities my responsibilities included proper posting of all of job requirements to the many internet job boards and professional networking websites. Within my first year I implemented sales and recruitment training for staff of 3 recruiters located in different parts of the country. Alternate Care Account Executive

I accepted a position with Bergen Brunswig (aka AmerisourceBergen) for a sales manager position located in Columbus, OH. I decided that a sales job with less travel and smaller territory would be a welcome change for my career. So, instead of covering a territory of twelve states I am now responsible for Ohio, Western Pennsylvania and Western/Central New York. At that time it was everything I wanted in a job, salary plus commission, company car, great benefits and the ability to travel. Then just a couple months into my new job Bergen Brunswig was purchased by Amerisource to become the largest pharmaceutical wholesale company in the nation AmerisourceBergen. Now an AmerisourceBergen employee my territory changed and was actually shrunk to include Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky. I applied my industry and regulatory knowledge toward identifying, prospecting and qualifying new clients utilizing referrals, cold-calling by phone and in person and even attended a territory management class to cut down on “windshield time”. I actively mentored customer through needs assessment and supply the right solutions for their current and future needs. While at AmerisourceBergen I exceeded all quarterly sales goals and landed the Midwest territory's 3 largest accounts valued at over $75 million a month is sales revenues.

Pharmaceutical Recovery Services Incorporated, Orlando, FL & Columbus, OH 1999 to 2001

Regional Account Executive

My first full-time employment opportunity came through a staffing agency to work with Pharmaceutical Recovery Services, Incorporated or PRSI. I was initially hired to process outdated pharmaceutical products for manufacturer returns out of the Orlando headquarters. My goal to be hired as a full-time employee before my three month temporary period ended was achieved and also put me on the fast track to travel to across the country processing outdated pharmaceuticals. The plan worked better than I could have expected, I became the first person in company history to be relocated and work within an assigned geographic territory of 12 states. I prospected for new customers and supplied appropriate solutions to new/existing customers. I met with hospital and pharmacy clients to process their outdated pharmaceutical products for a manufacture refund. Those products included prescription medications, over the counter medications and controlled medications that had to be written on a DEA regulated 222 form and properly sealed and packaged. I spearheaded the territory development plan and I established and maintained the largest territory and expanded it to encompass high profile clients such as The Cleveland Clinic, Yale University Medical Center, and William Beaumont Medical Center in Royal Oak, MI and the VA Hospital in Detroit, MI. During my tenure at PRSI I consistently set personal sales records and worked with other sales associates in setting and achieving all sales goals. I also planned and facilitated a number of presentations at trade shows designed for the pharmaceutical industry.
