Vice President of Technical Operations and Engineering· Corporate responsibility for technical operations of startup MSO.· Responsible for all F.C.C. filings and compliance for MSO involving 3 Regions and and 175k+ subscribers.· Responsible for oversight and support of 150 million dollars capital facility for use in capital rebuilds and upgrades of acquired properties; as well as rollout of products and services: Internet access, digital services, ISP’s, IPPV, etc.· Responsible for establishing operational metrics and policies to evaluate day to day operations within all regions and to increase financial and employee related efficiencies.
1989-1998 Coaxial Communications Columbus, Ohio Vice President of Technical Operations and Engineering· Full corporate responsibility for MSO engineering functions.· Scope of operations included 3,850 plant miles, 125 franchises, 6 headends, 250 fiber miles, 80 optical nodes, 2 microwave sites, and 15 SMATV sites.· Directly responsible for 11 departments with a staff of 100 with 5 direct reports.· Budget responsibitity of $8.5MM with consistent under budget performance.· Implemented 24x7 customer service program, digital multiplexing of premium services Interactive services, and digital fileserver delivery of PPV.· Completed a $25MM upgrade of the Columbus system to include 2-way capabilty.· Evaluated new business ventures, assembling projections and Pro Forma studies.· An active participant during investor/banking presentations conducted to acquire $177MM in a refinancing facility completed in 1994. 1988-1989 Continental Cablevision, Northeastern District, Arlington, Ma.
