At Caldwell & Kearns, P.C. I was responsible for all incoming calls and receptionist duties for a medium-sized law firm.
At Urology of Central Pennsylvania, I was responsible for the faxing and maintenance of primary care physician letters.
At Synertech, I entered data, quality checked and prepared medical claims for review and payment in various departments for different company contracts using company-generated software with Windows.
At EDS, I provisioned AT&T long distance service for business customers and calling cards for residential customers using customized software prepared for EDS by AT&T. The order implementation system is now fully automated with no need for manual data entry.
At Widener, I organized the existing Career Planning and Placement Office, including the updating and maintenance of employment job books and related employment information for law school students and graduates, prepared a monthly graduate newsletter, set schedules for on-campus interviews, ran a collection service for off-campus interviews to meet the needs of students, graduates and prospective employers and in general made employment and career information more easily accessible to the students and graduates, as well as implementing new information and procedures as requested by the dean of the law school. I supervised several work-study students, set their work schedules and dealt extensively with students, graduates and law school administrators. As a faculty secretary, I prepared law articles submitted for publication under the direction and supervision of law school professors, prepared law school exams, proctored law school exams, helped organize, compile and distribute course material and other day-to-day office duties. My administration and legal background consists of the preparation of meeting minutes, physician contracts, quality assurance and risk management reports, and small to medium law firm secretarial experience with an emphasis on business law.
