Job Satisfaction and Union Membership

• This paper processes a statistic analysis of the relationship between unionization and job satisfaction by taking consideration with other demographics information.
• Using data collected by Brayfield and Rothe’s index of job satisfaction from a representative sample of academic administrative staffs.
• This research found that, compared to non-union academic administrative staffs, union employees have a lower job satisfaction level. Meanwhile, the higher educational degree those administrative staffs have, the less satisfied they are with their work.
• Used statistical methods of t-test, correlation analysis, and linear statistical model
Research of Knowledge Workers’ Motivation Based on Psychological Contract

• The data for this research is collected from surveys filled by 100 knowledge employees in five companies.
• This study found out that breach of psychological contract will lead to negative work attitude, decrease job satisfaction and increase turnover rate; organization’s developmental responsibility plays a major role in employees’ psychological contract; compensation and working time have significant correlations with organizational responsibility.
• Used factor analysis and ANOVA.
