Synopsis: Maximis Investment Accounting System from Unisys is one of the core business applications within Manulife. The User Presentation Layer is a .Net 2.0 application that runs on 2 Dell PowerEdge Standard Windows Servers running IIS. The Application and Database layers run on an HP server with a UNIX engine and an Oracle database served by Fiber EMC disks. The development/uat environment is independent of the production/disaster recovery environment. The Web Based User Presentation Layer (Maximis UI) runs on one Dell PowerEdge Standard Windows server The Application and Database layer runs on a HP server similar to the production server (mlisinvu12 – alias=maximisd). It runs the same version of HP-UX and Oracle as the production server.

The Maximis application, in- house customized processes and the reports generated from Maximis form the official books of accounting for Manulife for the on-balance sheet operations. The application supports a spectrum of investment management areas including portfolio analysis, investment management, trade and cash processing, cash forecasts, multi- currency and multi – basis accounting, regulatory reporting, etc. In order to acquire enhancements and fixes developed by Unisys, the upgraded modules must be implemented in our production Maximis environment. Keeping our Maximis version current also enables more effective and efficient problem resolution with Unisys.

Synopsis: Trade Finance is a Banking application, where Importer and Exporter use this application for trading purpose.

The main role of this application is where Importer and Exporter do there trading online with the help of bank. Where bank places an important role of giving assurance. In this project we have 9 modules like LC (Letter Of Credit), BG (Bank Guarantee), SG (Shipping Guarantee), GD (Global Discounting), LD (LC Discounting). EL (Export Letter of Credit), PC (Packing Credit), GF (Generic Finance) and UIB (Usance Import Bills). Here in this project all banks have a standard format were all these transactions are done with the help of SWIFT(Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication) messages, and every bank has a dedicated SWIFT messages assigned so that third party cannot modify the data.

Role :

Played a role of a Feature Expert who handles the Test Development activity, Bug Review/Reproduction and decision making on the bug.

Synopsis: Any task given to the printer is a Job. There are different components which take care of different activities of the printer. There are several JOB related components need to be tested. We need to execute test cases for Basic functionality and Regression test cases. Our testing area is divided into six components they are Job, Job Manager, Maser, PJL (Printer Job language) and PML (Printer Manipulation Language). We need to run the test cases on Weekly build and Nightly build, where all Basic functionality test cases need to be executed on Weekly Build and Regression test cases can be executed on either of the builds. Weekly build integrate the changes that have taken place in nightly build during the previous week. All the changes that are made in the weekly build will reflect on the nightly build. All test cases are scripted using TCL Shell Script. Execution of these test cases were in UNIX environment. PATT (Product Automation Testing Tool) is used for executing test cases.

Role :

Preparation of Test cases to meet the requirements.

Involved in formal /offline SRS, Integration test cases, Systems test cases and instillation guides.

Synopsis: MFP-CPE (Multi-Functional Peripherals- Current product Engineering). Duration Testing is an important stage of the release cycle and overall product development. Interaction between the printer software and Firmware is subject to test in duration testing. Duration Testing is used to stress test the Firmware over a period of time. It uses automated file lists and random test selection lists provided by PATT (Product Automation Testing Tool). With the intention of simulating a test environment pretty much similar to that at the customer site. DSS (Digital Sending Software) and Anteater are the tolls used to configure the MFP’s for all kinds of digital sending jobs and for interacting with MFP remotely. It is critical to find out major crashes in the printer engine. So to find out such crashes we do Triaging

Will be done after Duration testing. During triaging defects are ranked in terms of importance / priority. In the firmware technology it is simple to characterize hang/ device crash. Memory Leak and Performance Testing is also the part of Duration Testing.
