Work History:

Turbine Engineer – AnsaldoESG April 2009 to October 2010

Duties included retrofitting and upgrading using new materials on Rotary machines. Working as part of a team, that was deployed to be the main technical expertise onsite during the works being undertaken. Adapting to different work ethics and cultures around the world and using the local labour provided to the best of their abilities’ to ensure the work never fell behind schedule.

• Read and use data from engineering drawings

• Take accurate data using measuring equipment and entering the data to a usable data sheet.

• Ensuring works undertaken was to a high standard.

• Providing engineering reports and work procedures to colleges.

• CAD and Inventor drawings made to fill the gap left by lost drawings or to procure manufacture of a spares.

As a small company of 9 people this company specialised in the engineering faults arising over the life of machine components. I was bought on in a temporary role with an option to be full time staff form my experience with in the power generation field.

As a engineer in a specialised retro fit solution company, i was personally responsible for face to face meetings with the customer to discuss their specific needs and to develop a solution for them. I was solely responsible for the quoting, development of the contract, labour and tooling requirements for the job. I would be onsite for the duration of the job to ensure a high level of fitment was met.

• CAD used to demonstrate use and fitment. Drawings were issued to site staff for reference.
