• Upgraded several AS/400 applications including, Aldon ACMS, Hawkeye/Pathfinder, Extractor400, PAE Librarian, DBU 5.0, Robot Scheduler, Robot Alert. Updated JD Edwards World to latest cumulative package.

• Finished migration of DocuCorp’s DocuMerge (Document Management) to new server (all NT based). Cut down 3rd shift operations by 4.5 hours, which often times rolled into 1st shift.

• Leadership and mentoring for three AS/400 Operators and training an inexperienced new team member on AS/400 Operations and Help Desk type issues.

KPMG/Cisco Network Engineering & Integration

• Participated in a WAN engineering design effort for a broadband provider. The effort consisted of designing a 40 node WAN for fixed wireless broadband services and developing a cost benefit analysis for this effort.

• Managed several concurrent projects for a large wireless provider based in Seattle. These projects involved interfacing with multiple hardware and software vendors as well as pinpointing issues with leading edge replication technology. Responsibilities included Statement of Work (SOW) development, outsourcer/vendor negotiations, contract modification proposal creation, and project management of transition effort. The projects required interfacing with director-level, manager-level, and team-lead level personnel.

• Installed JD Edwards OneWorld in an AS/400 – Windows NT Co-Existence test environment for several clients across the U.S. Responsibilities include installation of JD Edwards OneWorld software on AS/400 and NT (+SQL) platforms. Perform OneWorld release upgrades, updates/service packs, and installations (Test, CRP, Development, Production) for B73.2, B73.3, and B73.3.1. Also familiar with co-existence installs and upgrades. Setup/configure data replication, security server, deployment server, user profiles.

• Served as PMO team member functioning as the POC between Cisco Systems and KPMG Consulting. We would review and respond to new pipeline opportunities with a 24-hour turn around. This 3-member team was responsible for winning several contracts.

• Team member role assisting with migration of 25 WAN sites from one Frame Relay carrier to another.

• Team member role assisting with conversion from Type 1 Token-Ring cabling to CAT 5 cabling. Replaced all Token Ring hubs with Switched 100MB Ethernet. Manage Token-Ring to Ethernet conversion on all systems.

• Coordinated AS/400 upgrade to Model 640. Installed V4R1 and V4R2, Installed JD Edwards World V7.3, upgraded to V8.1. Keep OS/400 and JDE PTF’s current, manage security on 640 and Model 500 AS/400, increased DASD on 500 by 30%, 0% unscheduled downtime on both AS/400’s.

• Assisted Network Team with various server and PC upgrades/rollout initiatives.

• Implemented TCP/IP as primary protocol on AS/400’s, increased response time by over 35% across WAN. Implementing IP on the AS/400 allowed us to remove several SAA gateways that were unreliable and somewhat slow.
