I have served a 5 year apprentiship from 1974-1979 with A.E.Fletcher between 1979-1993 I have worked on the following projects. M.F.Kent at both M.O.D. Aldermaston and at ESSO OIL REFINERY Fawley. Haig & Ringrose on the QE2 BRIDGE at DARTFORD. Balfour Kilpatrick for 2.5 years as a Supervisor on the CHANNEL TUNNEL.
My career has progressed from Apprentice to Tradesman to Supervisor and now Manager. I am looking for a challenging position that will stretch both my technical and professional abilities in the following fields.

Reporting to the Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer responsible for 3 x Cooling Towers on 1200Mw CCGT Unit, overseeing the Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Systems associated with the Cooling Towers including the MCC rooms and 6.6 Kv pumps.
Install L.V. switchgear in 1 switchroom and 3 MCC rooms
Overseeing the Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Systems on the Water Treatment buildings.

Watson Norie Ltd, South Hook LNG Project, Milford Haven
Reporting to the Electrical Engineer, responsible for 4 Substations and a Firewater Pump-House, installing H.V & L.V switchgear and Transformers plus there cabling, as well as other duties on the tanks, jetty and process train part of the contract. Delegating the correct level of manpower for the installation of containment, cabling, fire and gas detection, instrument/control systems, deluge system, lighting and small power, telecoms, and CCTV and security systems; the wiring of both electric and diesel motors including the instruments that go with them and glanding & terminating of both leaded and unleaded SWA cables.
Supervising testing and inspection teams.
Trusted to oversee the job when the Project Manager was on leave or sick.
At times in charge of 80+ men and their Foremen.
Liaising with principal contractor and the client to overcome problems.
Working from layout drawings, termination drawings, cable schedules and p&id’s Raising technical queries where necessary, producing method statements, risk assessments and JSA’s. Working to a strict permit to work system on site.
Feb 2007 – Nov 2007. Electrical Floor Manager.
EIWHS, Slough, Terminal 5 Heathrow Airport.
Reporting to the Project Manager, responsible for the supervision and allocation of work force and logistics. Liaising with other trade supervisors for the smooth running of the installation of containment and cabling.
Charged with reviewing surveys allocating materials and workforce to maximise efficiency. Overall in charge of some 10 Supervisors, 100 electricians / data engineers.
Attend productivity meetings and chair daily briefings.
Oct 1993 – Feb 2007. Electrical Supervisor
Sirti Ltd, Pontefract, North Yorkshire.
Reporting direct to Sirti Contract Manager, responsible for a nationwide British Telecom secured ancillary wiring contract. Negotiating with BT’s major customers to install power, data and communications cabling and associated equipment on BT customer sites throughout the UK.

Balfour Beatty Power, Channel Tunnel Project, Dover.
Reporting direct to Shift Manager, responsible for the supervision, allocation and control of resources and associated logistics of underground work faces across all three tunnels.
Ensuring that programmed work, managed on a strict permit to work system through the main contractor procedures, was correctly documented and could proceed as required.
Recording cable installation details and associated test results on lighting, power and communication cables including optical fibre and leaky feeder radio cabling.
Full installation of Switch rooms and Pump stations.
