Support Supply Chain and Engineering on selecting second source component. Drive the component selection process, document and release all component specification and data sheets. Identification and evaluation of the new suppliers is based on quality, cost, and delivery schedule.
Work with local and overseas vendors to ensure that their components comply with the Halogen Free requirement, and the EU Regulatory Directives for RoHS, RoHS 2, and Reach.
Manage component EOL, PCN, and Obsolete part numbers, Monitor, evaluate, and follow up on component technology lifecycle. Review PCNs from component vendors, manage the impact, make recommendation as required, and work with Engineering and Supply Chain.
