 Provide support to all Mapics XAR7 activities across the plant mainly for users in manufacturing, logistics, materials, finance, and quality areas. This support includes day to day events that users may encounter on a specific task thru participation in departmental meetings to find solutions to current process problems and contribute with new ideas to replace old ways to do a specific task.

 Full knowledge of data collection transactions for Mapics XAR7 and custom applications using Intermec and LXE handheld RF devices.

 Full knowledge of Mapics XA cross applications functions like security, group job menus, user defaults, job status, environment creation, environment update, and PTF application.

 Supervise a Jr. Programmer and a Sr. programmer. Work order assignment, prioritize, weekly progress meetings. Coordinate outside training for specific need.

 Contract and manage IT consultants to support on specific projects. Gather and supply requirements for the consultants for quotes and project execution.

 Coordinate meetings with users to maintain them informed of initiatives that will impact their areas and processes.

 Participate in global initiatives for PepsiCo. Provide all necessary support to comply with requirements which includes process changes, software modifications, and user training.

 Custom code programming support for various in house applications. Maintain up to date current in house applications to meet business needs.

 Sarbanes Oxley process owner for change management and SDLC. Maintain control of SOX guidelines in terms of documentation required for any software/process change. Run quarterly test scripts and submit to local and corporate management.

 Lead Mapics upgrade in year 2000 from Mapics DB to XAR5. Responsible for implementing Mapics XAR5. Responsibilities included selection of outside resources, migration execution plan, unit testing, user testing, user sign off, deployment of changes, meetings with operational areas, and weekly progress meetings with management staff. Project documentation gathering.

 Lead Mapics upgrade in year 2007 from XAR5 to XAR7.  Implement the use of a tool called Spool Flex to convert AS400 spool file reports to electronic format like pdf and excel.

 Broad knowledge of the AS400, RPG, CLP, and utilities. Certified as a RPG IV programmer, COBOL programming, MS office tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Query, and Outlook.
