Key Client Engagements

For Nova Scotia Power, converted existing Project Management system from Microsoft Project to P6 EPPM, including system configuration, project template development, report development, custom Primavera training and PM process documentation.

For Lockheed Martin, converted existing Project Management system from Microsoft Project to P6 EPPM, including EPS security, global coding structures, report development, custom Primavera training and PM process documentation.

For Marathon Ashland, led EPPM implementation for the Engineering group on their Capital and Expense projects. Configured EPPM application security, global code structures, composite rates, standard report formats, etc. Developed role-based application training to integrate Marathon-specific PM processes. Provided on-going end-user mentoring and support.

Senior Project Management Consultant

Key Client Engagements

For Bell Helicopter, William managed a cross-functional Applications IPT consisting of 15 members across Bell, Pinnacle, EcoSys, C/S Solutions and IMC. The Applications IPT was responsible for upgrading of Primavera 3.5.1 to Primavera 5.0, upgrading Cost Management, wInsight and associated interfaces and data mapping. William configured application security, global code structures, etc. He also developed role-based application training which integrated EVMS processes and Bell-specific processes. He also provided on-going mentoring and support to end-users.

For Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), William supported their IBR process and produced their first CPR submittal using MS Project and Deltek Cobra.

For Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD), William delivered a Primavera 3.1 to Primavera EPPM Transition Plan, providing a roadmap for the organization to begin their conversion effort.

11/2003 – 6/2005 DRS Power and Control Technologies, Inc. Danbury, CT

Divisional Program Planning Manager

As Program Planning Manager for DRS Power and Control Technologies, William managed an integrated PMO, with locations in Danbury, CT and Milwaukee, WI. Responsible for $250M in projects, and management of 16 project coordinators across both locations.

Key management responsibilities included:

• Development, maintenance and status reporting on all active contracts, including weekly status reporting, monthly EAC updates and strategic financial forecasts.

• Review of DRS’s project portfolio scorecard with responsible Product Line Managers, maintaining strategic forecasts within P3e. This included labor, materials, and sales dollars.

• Reviewed Bid / Proposals and pipeline projects with project managers on a monthly basis, to adjust award probabilities and Period of Performance.

• Supported the integration of Enterprise Business System consisting of Oracle Projects, P3e, and Project Partner’s OP3 interface.

• Maintained Control Account Plans and Baseline Change Control logs on assigned active projects.

7/1997 – 10/2003 Catalyst, Inc Indianapolis, IN

Senior Project Management Consultant / Engagement Manager

Managed multiple Primavera Enterprise client implementations involving up to 5 consultants, trainers and technical leads. As Engagement Manager he was the primary customer contact responsible for developing and executing project implementation plans including work scope definition, budgeting, status reporting and accounting.

Interfaced with Primavera Professional Services to develop Implementation “Best Practices” for enterprise-level implementations. Assisted in authoring Implementation methodologies including resource and duration estimates, sizing metrics, scoping statements, and status reporting templates.

Authored Project Management Readiness Assessment methodologies utilized on enterprise client maturity assessments. This allowed Catalyst to structure implementation strategies best meeting the client’s needs. Based on this process, he was responsible for conducting Readiness Assessment reviews for new and existing enterprise clients.

Divisional Project Office Director

For Litton Data Systems, William held the position of Divisional Project Office Manager, leading the development and standardization of project management tools, policies and procedures.

During his time with Litton, he led the standardization of Primavera Project Planner on all active contracts, relocating to Litton’s Pascagoula, MS facility to organize an additional satellite PMO, where he was responsible for $580M on 10 major shipbuilding projects as well as managing a team of 15 project coordinators.
