Experience / Accomplishments

Management experience in Material Control with four different companies for a combined total of thirteen years. Also supervised employees on an "as required" basis on many special projects for several firms.

Experience purchasing aircraft parts and supplies for four separate firms. This experience includes commercial airlines, privately owned and military contracts. The aircraft include B707, B727, B737, B747, B757, B767, B777, DC8, DC9, DC10, MD11, MD80, A300, A310, A320, L1011, and various small aircraft by Gulfstream, Piper, Cessna, Lear and military T2B, T2C, A4, T34.

Wrote proposal and assisted with implementation of a company "Pick System" to expedite delivery of parts to mechanics. This system replaced the manual writing of "Buy Slips" with real time parts ordering on the floor.

Experienced with FAR’s as they pertain to commercial aircraft repair and modification. In addition, I have some experience with DFAR’s while at Stambaugh dealing with the U.S. Navy on T2’s, T-34’s and A-4’s doing depot level maintenance.

Set up and ran a Surplus Parts Sales/ PMA sales department to help alleviate the companies surplus parts problem and promote the sales of PMA items. This program generated from $50,000 to $62,000 per month in additional sales since its inception.

Managed all material and purchasing requirements for numerous aircraft modification contracts. Functions included Program Scheduling, Planning, Purchasing, Receiving, Kiting, Packaging, Shipping and the tracking of multiple sub contractors to assure Engineering releases and kit delivery commitments are met on schedule and within budget.

Reduced Inventory inaccuracies from $156,000 per year to under $1000.00 on an inventory valued at over $12M. This was accomplished with a 50% reduction in personnel and has been maintained for years.

Developed a Unit Exchange program for a company to assure that off units are returned to the vendor in a timely manor to avoid additional costs.

Handled the departmental requirements to obtain an ISO 9000 rating for a company. This involved developing a vendor rating system and re-writing the Policies and Procedures manual for the Purchasing department.

Coordinate sub contracts with various vendors to assure engineering specifications, delivery times and pricing are acceptable and within budget. I have done this at both Stambaugh Aviation, TIMCO and currently do this function everyday at Precision.

I have served as company Material/ Purchasing and Customer Support representative on many contracts. The customers include: Delta Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Continental Airlines, Federal Express, Alitalia, SF Airlines (China), Iceland Air, Shanghai Airlines, American Trans Air, Bluedart (India), America West, GECAS, ILFC, Aerolease, Capital Cargo, Polar Air Cargo, Sunjet, Viscount, U.S Marshals Service, U.S. Navy, Massaba, Valuejet, Kaletta (AIA), Eastwind Airlines and Mountain Air Cargo.
