I am working in the West Notifications group at West Corp whose primary responsibility is to deliver real-time notifications to clients located anywhere in the world using over the air services like voice, email, text or fax. My work usually involves identifying and analyzing the core requirements needed for the applications along with implementing them. My responsibilities also include tasks like determining the project schedules and to make sure that things are going according to plan till the product is delivered to the end user. Following are the few applications I was involved with:

Fedex Alerts:The purpose of this application is to notify and provide information to the customers regarding their shipments like the delivery date, time, type of signature required etc. This application would help in reducing the operating costs for clients by substantially decreasing the number of order status calls and reducing redelivery attempts thereby increasing customer satisfaction. The challenge included scheduling the notification call exactly one day before the delivery date taking into account the different time zones which are present in US. The main part is hitting the different web services and based on those results performing the different business logic and send real time alerts and notifications to customers in their preferred channels like VOICE, TEXT, EMAIL.

Responsibilities:

• Design and Developed the application using .Net Technologies.

• Developed a windows Service using C# and also used Threads.

• Implemented Object-Oriented Concepts in every task.

• Developed a process to FTP file from clients, create file in required text format and FTP back to clients.

• Utilized ADO.Net Data Objects such as Data Reader, Dataset and Data Adapter, for consistent access to SQL Data sources.

This notification campaign will allow Kaiser Permanente to send a voice call to the customers asking them to provide feedback so as to monitor the quality of the services they have received. The application can reduce costs and improve customer service by proactively contacting customers asking for their feedback to improve the service. Capturing feedback in a timely manner proved to be a good technique to capture the requirements from the end user and actually improved the overall customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Developed the application which involved working on the Application’s Design Aspects, Use Cases and ways to implement it.

• Design and Developed a campaign using C# with the help of .Net framework3.5, ASP.NET, C#,
