Project Profile:

Title: Online Bill Collection System

Technologies used: J2EE (Jsp, Servlets, Ejb)

Database: SQL server 2000

Description: The objective of the project is to create a online bill paying system for a bill collection

concern using 3tier architechture.This system enables the users to register themselves and avails the

various facilities such as paying bills through their credit cards,checking bill dues and to browse

through the list of various service providers.Payment details will be stored and maintained by the

database.Besides,System will also reminds the users about their pendings dues by sending messages to

their inbox.

Implementation of 3 tier architechture in the project

Presentation tier: Consists of servlets and JSPs.JSP pages were used for accepting data and displaying

final results to the users.Servlets were used to manage user requests.

Business logic tier: Consists of session beans and entity beans.Transactions will be managed by beans

and security features to secure online payments will be provided by the EJB container in the J2EE

application server.

Data tier: Consists of SQL server 2000 to store the relevant data.
