EDUCATION

1980 -1983 “Anargirios Korgialenios College of Spetses”.

-President of “Art photography” club.

-I participated in several art and cultural events.

1985 High school, thirteenth year diploma.

1987 Computer programmer diploma from State Run EL.KE.PA. Institute of Technology.

1990-1994 “Artistic education” in the creative laboratory of advertiser Paul Pissanos, as a graphic designer. Wide spectrum of applications, from graphics and editing for television spots, up to 3D-Graphics and compositing for cine-productions, working on Silicon Graphics workstations.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

1995-1999 -3D designer for “ATC” multimedia company.

-Interactive CDRom applications.

-3D Graphics for representations of archaeological monuments, and corporate videos.

-I was educated in the use of 3D scanners from “Cyberware”, and in close collaboration with archaeologist Mr D.Pantermalis presently President of the New Archaeological Museum of Athens, we created a digital database with 3D scans from archaeological discoveries (statues, utensils etc), from the ancient site of Dion.

-In 1998 on behalf of ATC and the number 1 channel in Greece at that time, “Ant1”, I created the first 3D-representation in the Greek television on the Greece-Turkey conflict of Imia island. This lead to many more 3D work for Television.

1998-2000 - Τutor in 3D graphics courses in “Omiros” institute.

-I delivered courses (Hnd level) for two years, in 3D software packages such as Lightwave3D and Maya3D.

2000-2001 - Head of creative department in TV channel “TEMPO”.

- My competences included the constitution of the department, graphic design for TV shows, the planning of automated systems for real time data display (stock markets, weathercast shows, and many more), but also the supervision of the creative department.

2001 – Participation in the setup and creation of Stock Exchange channel “GBC” (Greek Business Channel).

-I undertook the planning, setup and creation of the mechanism of projecting real time data from Greek and International stock markets. I also designed the “on air” look of the channel.

2001-2011 -Art Director and Virtual Set Designer at TV channel “ALTER”

-I dealt with the redesign of the on air look of ALTER channel.

I created show intros, Channel ID’s, Virtual Studio’s and many more.

- I collaborated with one of the top journalists in Greece, Nikos Eyaggelatos in pioneering applications, like 3D presentations with real time virtual graphics and election nights with real time virtual data.

- In 2004 I was promoted to Art Director.

-My work on Virtual sets about the war on Iraq, was honoured from the software company “VizRt” at NAB 2004.

-Till today my competences are the design and supervision of the graphics for TV shows, station ID’s and trailers.

I speak English fluently, I can write reports and design my work in English as well. The first years of my life I lived in Canada.

OTHER INTERESTS

- I write music and play electric guitar. Occasionally I love doing live gigs for my friends.

- Racing and speed moves me. In the old days, via associations I participated in track days and other sporting events.

- I like traveling, excursions, and spending time with my family.
