• Researched High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) and its applications in medicine and biology, Tissue Destruction with Histotripsy and simulation in tissue.
• Designed a real-time image-guided ultrasound modality which was used to target nerve tissues in an in-vitro environment.
• Built and characterized the newly-designed modality which involved operating a variety of equipment including; imaging and therapy transducers, oscilloscopes, power-meters, power amplifiers, signal generators, hydrophones, a 3D robotic positioning system, Biopac systems, electro-physiology apparatus, data acquisition systems, nerve dissection instruments, Labview and MATLAB programs.
