Senior Graphic Designer
One member of a three member graphic department for an e-commerce sports merchandising company. Hired specifically for catalog development, but also was integral part of other design strategies for marketing department.
• Began at company as the sole designer with catalog experience and produced 16 to 24-page catalogs for six NFL teams, 5 NCAA teams and the Susan G. Komen 3Day Walk for the Cure. During my tenure, I produced a total of 10 catalogs that were sent out to over a half million customers.
• Designed weekly email campaigns for twelve teams that included web promos for team websites. An email campaign that I designed for tax day resulted in the highest revenue during the off season.
• Helped in the redesign of the weekly email campaign layout that lowered the number of emails sent to spam folders by 80% and increased the conversion rate of products bought on the websites by 25%.
• Maintained image library to ensure image quality, size and consistency for over 10K+ images. Also worked with IT department in the development of image conversion for website use that would cut down on production time by 70%.

Marketing Communications Manager
Manager for all marketing materials for architectural sign firm with over 40 locations throughout the U.S. and abroad. First marketing initiative; create a catalog that would incorporate ASI’s expansive sign library and case study files into a beautifully laid out, easy to follow guide.
• Led the direction of one graphic designer and assigned projects as needed. First major task assigned was to organize company image and file systems into a manageable, consistent and effective system that can be easily maintained and accessible to entire company. Other tasks included maintaining monthly newsletters, case studies, and sign studies that adhered to the strict brand standards set forth by ASI.
• Developed direct mail pieces that addressed sustainable government solutions for ASI’s GSA program to the federal government. This marketing piece was sent to government facilities interested in becoming environmentally friendly through the use their sign systems and was one of the companies most important marketing initiatives.
•Led the marketing team on the development of the company’s sign catalog, including collaborating with the director of marketing on content, direction and layout of catalog while also addressing budget constraints and strict deadlines. Created the first set of comps that would eventually become the backbones for the entire catalog including color scheme and size.
• Learned in less than one week company’s website content management software to update and create new pages, case studies, web banner, launch new products, and any other web-based needs.

Member of the Marketing Support team functioned as the driving force to ensure complete implementation and successful operation of marketing and
design processes for Alon USA and its affiliated brand, FINA.
• Established production schedules for print and digital media tasks to allow efficient execution and completion of various multifaceted projects.
• Worked under Director of Sponsorships on several high profile marketing events including the FINA-CAF AIRSHO in Midland, Texas. FINA is the title sponsorship for this event and attracts more than 40,000 visitors during the event. Helped in the organization and production and of the event including designing all printed marketing materials.
• Redesigned company’s newsletter that was distributed to more than 500 employees throughout the nation. Revised content, color scheme and layout to make it more modern and up to date with company’s direction and goals. Received many emails citing the newsletter had a much better readability, relevant content and flow than previous newsletters.

• Redesigned company newsletter and key pieces of literature that gave a more modern look and feel and was more relevant to the market of more than 500 distributors and retail outlets.
• Participated in a two day workshop that taught valuable information about a working ranch and the equipment used. This workshop helped me to better understand the tools and equipment that I was a part of marketing through the use of brochures, catalogs and literature.
• Designed ads for a wide variety major publications distributed around the world. An ad was also featured in the program guide for the Professional Bull Riding Finals in Las Vegas, NV.

• Prepared and entered orders for all print jobs. While there, I utilized my graphic designs skills to help design invitations, flyers, brochures, logos, business cards, letterhead and other various projects.
• The opportunity was given for me to learn the basic skills necessary to do the press checks, including learning how to prepare artwork for single color up to four color presses, setting up the plate maker and making any necessary changes to the artwork to make it press-ready. This opportu-nity gave me great insight on how the print industry functions and taught me some necessary skills that propelled me into the print industry.
