As an outgoing self directed and achievement oriented Supervisor of the Blood Bank at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center and Florida Hospital Oceanside with a broad knowledge in Medical Technology and Blood Bank, I am seeking a new challenge in another part of the country. I am eligible to work in the United States and have had a lot of experience in Blood Banking, Special Chemistry, Hematology, Parasitology, Administrative Duties, Budget Control, Work Flow and Efficiency, Work Safety, Performance Improvement in the department, Quality Assurance, hiring, developing, motivating, counseling, overseeing and training of medical technologists and students. Responsible for the performance evaluation, competency, scheduling of staff, evaluating and purchasing laboratory equipment and reagents, interviewing sales persons, evaluating and implementing new technology, updating S.O.P, responsible for Q.C. and Q.A. in the department, liaison with Nursing Services, Physicians and the School of Medical Technology. I Chaired and Co-chaired the Laboratory QA Committee, Implemented Blood Bank computer systems like Meditech, Sun quest and Cerner Millennium. Also had the opportunity to be part of the moving process of Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center from Ormond Beach to the brand new facility located in Daytona Beach in 2009 and Florida Hospital Waterman from Eustis, Florida to the new facility in Tavares, Florida in 2004. Participates in fundraising events for the hospital, attend and participate in all senior leadership meetings and the safety committee meetings.
