1. Responsible for the safe and cost effective maintenance of the FPSO power plants, process plant, associated equipment and vessel utilities with minimal environmental impact in accordance with legislation, class, flag and the Facility Management System.
2. Responsible for checking all third party equipment, certificates of conformity including maintenance records and histories to ensure that they comply with certificate of fitness and for confirming maintenance and fitness for purpose of third party hand tools.
3. Responsible for onboard use and control of the planned maintenance system and the issuing of reports from this system.
4. Assist the OIM/Operations Supervisor in emergency response.
5. Survey and Checked all the equipment and machineries off the support vessel before hiring.
6. Supervisor the underwater survey with Class surveyor on special survey
7. Liaises closely with the OIM on technical matters and maintenance on day to day maintenance activities.
8. Maintain accurate records, which shall be readily retrievable, and conform to the Facility Management System and ensure that all manuals and drawings are kept up to date.
9. Responsible for ensuring the timely ordering of stores and spare gear and maintenance of sufficient onboard stock levels, to ensure that the facility’s operational capabilities and safety are not jeopardised.
10. Assist in the planning of dry-dockings, major repairs, modifications and surveys and will keep the Jakarta Operations Department fully informed of facility status and all modifiable occurrences.
11. Is the ‘responsible person’ for all operations in the technical/maintenance department requiring a work permit. Shall ensure that all safety precautions are taken, and that the work is carried out in a safe manner. May appoint a suitably qualified person to act as ‘responsible person’ in his place but must inform the duty officer of any appointment made.

6. Ensure that class and flag surveys and government surveys are undertaken in a timely manner before their final date.

Responsible for the hull, structure, tanks etc. of the facility and for the safe and efficient operation of plant and machinery permanently installed on the facility and may also be responsible for temporary plant, fitted for specific tasks, and shall issue Standing Orders to ensure safe and efficient operation.
