(Galderma LLP, Fort Worth, TX, January 2009 to November 2010):

• Architected Enterprise design, implementation, and ongoing administration of an Oracle environment. Included management of physical servers, Oracle database software, database design and administration, and backup / recovery operations. Databases included data warehousing instances, CRM OLTP RAC instances and an HR application database on SAP – modifying the custom application to fit the organizational structure and internal HR procedures.

• Oracle Clustering RAC, Oracle monitoring tools (GRID), Linux operating systems and administration (Red Hat), UNIX operating systems, hardware and administration (Solaris), Storage Access Networks (EMC), design and tuning of multi-TB databases. Use database tuning toolsets (TKPROF/AWR reports to optimize backend database engines.

• SQL server administration within a clustered environment – 2003/2005 and 2008.

• Golden Gate test employment – received 2 days training at Oracle and deployed test installation to replicate data ware house instances at schema level – replicated 50Gb over a 24 hour production cycle from the production RAC instances to the backup and development RAC nodes.

IBM Remote Support out of Fort Worth TX, April 2008 to June 2010

• Do remote support for Hertz Account – tasks includes database performance tuning, user account maintenance, logical exports and testing and applying patches for the CMS application.

• Install and test Oracle patches as required.

• Provide RMAN and BCV backup support for the production 9i Oracle platform on HP 11.11 Itanium

• Keep schema deployment between Test and QA platforms in sync on Oracle 10g platform.

Healthmarkets Inc., North Richland Hills TX, December 2007 to December 2008:

• Development DBA for TIBCO SOA integration platform. Utilizes Oracle v 10g (10.2.0.4) and Oracle 11g standalone and RAC nodes - RH 4 Linux OS as well as Solaris v 10g (10.2.0.3) platforms.

• Installed instances (including CRS and ASM RAC software) and applied requisite Oracle patches.

• Provides production support for 6 Tb data warehouse application ETL support using Informatica and custom PL/SQL scripts. On-going redevelopment support to BI team to streamline 7 year old design.

• Implemented RMAN backups.

• Write PL/SQL packages and procedures/functions as required.

• Provided technical architecture to migrate from Solaris to Aix platform (Sun 6800 to IBM P570 servers).

• Development DBA/Architect for customer service technology platforms including AA self-service airport terminal kiosks and AA.com. Also supported the integrated voice response customer contact platform and related commons services integration environments. Utilized Oracle v 10g (10.2.0.3) standalone and RAC nodes - RH 4 Linux OS as well as Solaris 8 Oracle 9i platforms.

• Implemented Bi-directional Streams to provide a fail-over implementation to a remote data center (Tulsa OK).

• Installed instances (including CRS and ASM RAC software) and applied requisite Oracle patches.

• Created DDL for schema object creation. Updated and changed objects on on-going basis

• Tuned sql statements for ongoing database response improvement.

• Development DBA for an embedded Oracle database for stand-alone communication network management software. Utilizing Oracle v 10gR2 on RH 4 Linux OS.

• Implemented Dataguard for a fail-over platform; to provide unattended uptime for remote installations.

• Provide remote production support for existing production Oracle databases at various remote installation locations.

• Develop and implement Perl/bash shell scripts to enable field support for patch release updates, back-up and on-going code fixes.

Tenure Incorporated, Las Colinas TX, July 2004 to July 2006.

• Production support for multiple Oracle 9i/10g instances on IBM AIX (5.2) on pharmacy/patient file databases.

• Provide production support for multiple Oracle 8i/9i instances, including Peoplesoft EPM warehouses and JDE General Ledger/Reporting instances.

• Install/configure 10g (including r2) instances for development/test purposes. Configured ASM file system for future RAC installations.

UUNET/WCOM, Richardson TX, March 2000 to June 2004 (initially as part-time support).

Reported to Director: Network Security. Direct staff of 1 Junior Oracle DBA, 1 HTML/Web developer.

• Installed and tested Oracle 10g on AIX, Solaris and Windows 2000 server platforms. Tested intranet support on Windows 2000 server before migrating to production at a future date (not yet determined).

• Production support for Oracle 9i instance on IBM AIX (4.3.3) supporting a 2 Terabyte database (including a data warehouse application).

• Develop and support Intranet thin client (Apache) and client-server applications for WCOM/MCI network security group.

• Migrated/upgraded database from V7.3.4 to V8.1.6. Upgraded IBM platform from AIX 4.3.2 on model F50 to AIX 4.3.3 on model S80. Installed and configured 1.2 Terabyte IBM Shark disk array.

Groceryworks.Com.Addison TX, February 2000 to September 2000: (part-time).

• Provide web host and backend database support for the Forte middleware. software suite. Revised database architecture and deployment across additional distribution centers.

• Tuned and optimized existing database platform. Improved order throughput by 3300%. Improved uptime on web application platform (OAS 4.0.8/NT)from 1 outage/hour to unlimited availability. In essence brought this startup eCommerce site from disaster to implementation by breaking bottleneck during daily order processing.

• Implemented hot backup and recovery procedures to initialize 24X7 database support platform.

Oracle DBA/Development Lead.

GTE (now Verizon), Las Colinas TX, March1997 to June 2000.

Reported to Director: Infrastructure Provisioning. . (November 1999 to June 2000)

• Developed and supported Intranet thin client (Oracle Application Server 4.0.8) and client-server applications. Infrastructure equipment database support

• Production support for 15 Oracle instances (7.3.4.0 and 8.0.5/HP UX 10.20 and NT 4.0). Supported 6000 Users in 10 regions, which encompass 28 States including Hawaii.

• Development lead for integrating scanner support application on Oracle.

• Developed thin-client application for outside plant work scheduling and reporting.

• Implemented backup and recovery procedures for the production environment, both on Unix and NT platforms.

• Developed and implemented billing system for large business customers. Prototype delivered 6 weeks after initial project startup – current version implemented as enterprise solution for GTE on Oracle Application Server 4.0.8

• Developed and implemented Quotation and Customer Information thin client .application. Utilized spiral development methodology, production system (version 1) deployed 2 months after project start.

• Developed and implemented capacity analysis application for new waferfab installations.

• Re-engineered a Material Specification And Design Application for the chemical industry. Supported ADW design and construction environment.

• Re-engineered logical database design for physical implementation on DB2 platform.

• Designed architecture for a client-server extension of the overall development (targeted for mid 1995) for a ORACLE/UNIFACE client server environment.

• Analyzed user requirements and developed functional specifications and designed logical database schema for a utility company (2.5 million account holders, $3.7 billion annual revenue/billed monthly). Facilitated JRP/JAD sessions to obtain user input for a Marketing/Sales/Product Delivery/Financial Accounting structure.

• Developed design specifications on ORACLE Case Designer and prototypes for user evaluation on ORACLE Case Generator for implementation on ORACLE 7/HP 9000 platform.
