Alumil s.a., Aluminum Extrusion Industry, Kilkis, Greece 01/2007 – present
Corporate Production Director
Participate in Group’s short and long term strategic planning, as a member of the company’s steering committee, achieving €260M in annual revenue. Direct all production units in Greece (Kilkis, Xanthi, Komotini), Albania, Bosnia, Serbia and Romania. Directly manage 5 plant managers in Greece and 4 plant managers abroad, overseeing approximately 1050+ employees in manufacturing. Decide and manage operational and capital annual expense budgets exceeding €13M in Greece and €6M abroad. Setting challenging goals that meet company’s business plan and ensure their achievement by inspiring, supporting and supervising all production managers and sponsoring their projects, to develop their staff, facilitate efficiency and improve performance, in order to match customer satisfaction with production cost reduction.

• Further reduction of production’s actual annual expenses by 10% 2010 vs 2009 and 8% 2011 vs 2010.
• Perform with excellence the years that the company was running with annual capital growth of 25%, supporting all the Green field level projects, being responsible for the installation of new production units, selection of production personnel, training, guiding, auditing and managing after start up.

Plant Manager of all Productions sites in Kilkis
Multi operations management, such as aluminum extrusion, coating and anodizing, polyamide and PVC extrusion, production of polycarbonate and composite panels, operation of an aluminum foundry, head of production of Alumul Solar division (production of aluminum accessories and profiles for aluminum supporting structure of solar panels), plus all supporting departments such as maintenance, scheduling, safety and quality control. Managed 15 supervisors and oversaw 450 employees. Decided and managed operational and capital annual expense budget exceeding €8M.
Selected contributions:
• Reengineered the production processes by applying kaizen and 5s methods on manufacturing floor, reducing staff by 10%
• Developed and implemented budget for each department separately
• Implemented Just in Time methodology to control cost and inventory, resulting in a 20% improvement in efficiency.
• Reduced overall scrap quantities by 5% and increased and maintained productivity by 15%

Project Manager of the Installation of Alumil Albania, Extrusion Industry in Tirana
Management of extrusion and coating units plus the supporting departments of maintenance, scheduling, quality control, safety, logistics, human resources and customer service. Managed directly 5 supervisors and oversaw 130 employees. Decided and managed an operational and capital annual expense budget exceeding €2.5M.
Selected contributions:
• Supervised the installation of an electrostatic coating line, with capital value of €850K, in Xanthi.
• Supervised the installation of a complete new extrusion line, with capital value of €6M, in Xanthi.
• Replaced labor intense processes while simultaneously enhancing workflow through process reengineering, reducing staff by 20.
• Project manager of the installation and start up of complete new production plant in Tirana, Albania, from Green field level, with capital value of €11M. Including production lay out, supervision of construction of industrial buildings, machinery foundation and installation, personnel selection from top to bottom level, training in all manufacturing processes, start up, auditing and managing.

Plant manager’s assistant, planed the daily production and logistics operations to ensure the delivery of customer service excellence. Supervise 35 employees in total.

• Participated in the project of the installation of a complete new paper production line. An investment with capital value of €3M.
• Worked close with the technicians and engineers of the company that supplied the equipment, making final adjustments of the lay out in order to construct and install the machinery accurately.
