plan sheets and the creation of sheet indexes, applying sheet borders, and the preparation of

Pier G, Berth G236 Shore-to-Ship Power Retrofit, Port of Long Beach,
Project Designer/CADD Technician involved in the preparation of civil plans to support the
retrofit an existing 1,300-foot long concrete pile-supported wharf to provide shore-to-ship power,
including backland electrical conduit. This project is one component of the overall Pier G Berths
G230-G236 Redevelopment Program that involves expansion of an existing container to 300
acres. Responsible for preparation of construction drawings in MicroStation V8i including title
sheet, general plan sheets, traffic control exhibits and plans, pothole plans, demolition plans,
striping and signage plans, and material stockpile site plans. Also provided quality control of plan
sets and created full and half-size PDF drawing sets using Interplot Organizer (IPLOT).
Pier J, Berths J245-247 and J266-270, Shore to Ship Power Retrofit, Port of Long Beach
Project Designer/CADD Technician involved in the development of civil plans to support the
retrofit two existing wharves – Berths J245-J247 (2,000 feet long) and Berths J266-J270 (2,700
foot long) as well as supporting backlands infrastructure, including underground duct banks and
substations to provide shore to ship power utilities. Responsibilities included assisting engineers
with construction drawing updates from red-lined plan sets using MicroStation V8i. Drawings
included title sheet, general plan sheets, utility sheets, construction details, construction phasing
plans, water pollution control plans, pothole plans, striping and signage plans, and demolition
plans. Provided quality control for plan sets and created half-size PDF drawing sets using IPLOT.
Pier S, Berth S102-S110 Marine Terminal Design & Construction, Port of Long Beach
CADD Technician responsible for preparation of exhibits for freight rail alignment options, update
of reference files in AutoCAD for construction drawings, and red-line drawings as part of
performing quality control of construction drawings. The overall project involves planning and
design for a new 160-acre container terminal to be constructed on a brownfield (former oilfield)
site.

I-15 Managed Lanes - San Diego, California, Caltrans District 11
Lead CADD Designer responsible for the preparation of signing and striping plans for 100%
design submittal on Mylar sheets in MicroStation for Unit 2 of the South Segment of the I-15
Managed Lanes project. Improvements included managed lanes and two interchanges. Plans
included pavement delineation plans and quantities, sign plans for roadside and overhead signs,
special sign details, sign foundation plans, and quantity sheets in conformance with Caltrans
standards.
Mid-City/Exposition Light Rail Transit Project - Los Angeles, CA – Los Angeles County
Metropolitan Transportation Authority
Lead CADD Designer responsible for the preparation of signing and striping plans in AutoCAD
for segments of Exposition, National, and Jefferson Boulevards in the cities of Los Angeles and
Culver City. Tasks included plan sets for 65% and 95% grade separation design submittals for
roadside and overhead design plans, special sign details, and preparation of signing and pavement
delineation quantity documents. Plans were prepared in accordance with Caltrans, City of Los
Angeles, and Culver City design standards.
BMP Studies for Routes 101, 23, 118, and 126 - Ventura County, CA – Caltrans District 7
Lead CADD Designer responsible for the preparation of preliminary design plans for assessing
existing drainage facilities and proposing new BMP improvements. Tasks included researching as-
builts, delineating roadway plans, calculating drainage areas, delineation of BMP features and
flow lines, and assisting in quantity take-offs.

Sky Ranch Development - Santee, California
Managed the production and assisted in the development of a final design plan set for the State
Route 67 and Prospect Avenue interchange improvements. Coordinated CADD efforts with
remote offices in San Francisco, Denver, and offices in the Philippines and assembled final mylar
plan set in compliance with Caltrans drafting standards and encroachment permit requirements. As
the CADD lead, provided oversight to the CADD team, coordinated daily with designers, and
assisted in the preparation of the project title sheet, layouts, profiles, construction details, contour
grading, drainage layouts and profiles, quantity tables, quantity sheets, water pollution control,
stage construction, signing and striping, and sign panels. Prepared electronic PDF files for design
submittals.
State Route 75/282 Coronado Tunnel Project Report and Environmental Document -
Coronado, California
Prepared preliminary engineering geometric plans for four alternatives, typical sections, and
quantity sheets in MicroStation in accordance with Caltrans standards.

State Route 125 South Toll Road, Gap & Connector - San Diego, California
As part of the drainage design-build team, prepared drainage plans, profiles, details and quantity
sheets, water pollution control plans, and other roadway plans for SR-54/SR-125 interchange, SR
125, and various county roads in MicroStation in accordance with applicable Caltrans and County
of San Diego plan preparation and design standards. Developed exhibits for utility Investigation
Packages showing existing utilities, proposed utility relocations, and right of way requirements.
Managed CAD file system, used Interplot software in assembling design submittal packages,
created PDF files from MicroStation design files, maintained current plan set on ProjectSolve
website, and coordinated with designers and contractor in preparing accelerated “release for
construction “ plan sets.
