Responsible for operation, repair, and renovation of all hotel property. Duties include direct supervision of 5-10 permanent employees and coordination and quality control for all subcontractors. Planned, coordinated, and supervised complete renovation of all hotel rooms in 1995. Maintained effective and responsive emergency repair program to ensure maximum hotel occupancy and customer satisfaction. Develop repair cost estimates and maintain operating budget within established goals and procedures.

1983 – 1987

Construction Supervisor, Resort Custom Construction, Virginia Beach, VA. Supervised four-man construction team performing home and apartment construction and remodeling. Responsible for crew and job performance, completion schedule, and materials estimates. Implemented training program for new hires.

1981 – 1983

Construction Supervisor, Warwick Hotel, Newport News, VA. Supervised all carpentry renovation including job performance of eight employees and subcontractors. Ensured all work was performed to code within estimated cost and work schedule.

1978 – 1981

Lead Carpenter, Wood Embellishment, and Poquoson, VA.

Supervised three-man carpentry team specializing in room additions and custom built kitchens. Responsible for all job performance and compliance. Ensured work was performed within acceptable cost and on schedule.
