Senior Project Engineer – Bonnet Creek Resort

This $280M project consisted of a 4-star Hilton, a 5-star Waldorf Astoria and an 18,000 square foot Convention Center with a central energy plant.

Achievements:

• Completed structural framing and plaster portion of the project on time and on budget.

• Successfully managed the sub-contractor to complete the roofing system ahead of schedule

• Coordinated the placement of the concrete support structures and delivery of the precast stairs overcoming all elevation challenges at each location.

• Managed miscellaneous steel shop drawing reviews and placement for roll up door supports, elevator guiderails, vanity supports with timely installation to meet schedule requirements.

The Auchter Company – Miami Florida November 2006-March 2008

Project Manager – 1800 Club

A 42-story Condominium project, near downtown Miami with a 10-story parking garage and a budget of $98M that was behind schedule when called in to join the management team.

Achievements:

• Successfully managed the glazing contractor, coordinating between their bonding company and the schedule requirements to complete the project on time.

• Implemented appropriate pre-inspection procedures that enabled the window systems to pass required water tests the first time.

The Auchter Company – Tallahassee Florida December 2005 to October 2006

Assistant Project Manager – Kleman Plaza $55M

Part of the initial team on the 22- story building project (5-levels of underground parking attached to existing parking garage, 1 arcade level and 17 condominium levels) as it was coming out of the ground.

Achievements:

• Developed all logistics for drilling auger piles 40 feet below the finished grade maintaining a ramp for spoil removal and equipment access and egress to enable the cost-effective delivery of the building foundation.

• Coordinated the tower crane locations inclusive of FAA and DOT approvals and implemented the installation of the foundation to support them.

The John Stokes Company – Jacksonville Florida March 2005-November 2005

Project Manager – Family Life Center

Construction of a $2M multi-purpose building consisting of a class rooms, gymnasium, offices and commercial kitchen.

Achievements:

• Completed the construction on time and within budget, directed 23 sub-contractors and coordinated with the building department, owners and architects.

• Managed the coordination of the schedule, change orders, RFI’s and pay applications to the owner ensuring all payments were made in time and the paperwork was complete.

The Haskell Company – Huntsville Alabama February 1999- February 2005

Project Manager – Initially an Assistant Superintendent and MEP Coordinator rose through the ranks to assume a Project Manager position with oversight for $1.5M to $52 M projects.

The Villages- Huntsville, Alabama: Project Manager Mold and Mildew Remediation, $1.5M

• Managed the testing and implementation of measures to eliminate mold and mildew.

• Coordinated the removal and replacement building component around patients schedules

Waterman Villages Assisted Living Facility-Mt. Dora, Florida: Project Manager Addition and Renovation, $2M

• Managed a team of 26 sub-contractors, ensuring the scope of each contract was fulfilled properly.

• Won the ABC Award of Excellence for renovations on this project.

Oak Ridge National Laboratory-Oak Ridge, Tennessee: Assistant Project Manager Construction of 3 Buildings, $52M

• Managed the replacement of the underground utilities site contractor discovering all uncompleted works and on-boarding of the new contractor in order to complete the project on time.

Atlantic Dry Dock- Jacksonville, Florida: Project Manager New Construction and Additions, $1.5M

• Oversight of 28 sub-contractors to complete support buildings for the Navy.

MCI Stand Alone Generator Building- Jacksonville, Florida: Project Manager New Construction, $1.5M

• Led the team to construct the building from start to finish, coordinating with the building owner for site usage and building systems shut down to ensure proper interface with main power grid.

Times Union Theatre for Performing Arts- Jacksonville, Florida: Project Manager Renovation, $1.5M

• Created the infra-structure to support the pipe-organ inside an existing building while working around the symphony schedule.

Faulkenburg Jail-Tampa, Florida: Assistant Superintendent New Construction, $28M

• Design Build Project Shaved 55 days off the construction schedule of the 2nd matching building utilizing lesson learned from the first building during build out.
