Aircraft Fuel Systems Craftsman (7 Skill Level): Skilled in repairing, maintaining, and performing inspections on F-16 fighter jets using applicable T.O.'s (Technical Orders) while following strict Air Force regulations. Skilled in removing/replacing components, and troubleshooting various systems within an F-16 fighter jet. Performs IPI's (In-Process Inspection) after individual jobs are completed to determine whether or not the quality of maintenance is up to standards in accordance with strict Air Force regulations. Skilled in working on, and emergency depressurizing the EPU (Emergency Power Unit) system, which uses the hazardous chemical H-70 (Hydrazine) to power the F-16 in case of power failure while in flight. Also skilled in disposing of H-70.
Repairs, troubleshoots, and assembles F-16 external fuel tanks. Performs annual inspections to asses physical and mechanical serviceability of each tank before it's loaded to an aircraft. Removes and replaces various parts within each tank as required in accordance with strict Air Force regulations.
Section dispatcher: Dispatched employees to respective jobs (physically or by way of two-way radio) while simultaneously maintaining sections dispatch board. Kept status log of each job within and away from section. Updated job status in database throughout shift.
Primary training monitor for section: Oversees and schedules all training and training appointments for 70+ military members and civilians within maintenance section. Monitors and maintains TBA (Training Business Area) training records for aircraft technicians. Monitors proficiency within the upgrade training program while monitoring and training troops to get fully upgraded to the next skill level within the time allotted to them. Monitors and maintains IMDS database to keep troops up to date with training requirements.
Guards and secures 160+ Air Force aircraft while helping to prevent unauthorized entries of storage and maintenance areas, challenging and restraining any unauthorized individuals that are in restricted areas without proper credentials or clearance.
