Superintendent
Manage all functions of the job site as it relates to standard specifications for NM
DOT. Manage construction of multiple sites while maximizing profits and
maintaining excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Total Involvement in the planning and directing of construction activities, of
Assistant Superintendents, field personnel and other staff as assigned.
Schedule all involved contractors on-site as well as off-site for each phase of
development and construction.
Approve work being performed by subcontractors and handle any issues that may
arise.
Complete each project on schedule from planning through occupancy, ensuring that
all contract obligations are satisfied.
Ensure that the selected options and upgrades are implemented during construction
and for owner walk-through.
Be aware of ever changing applicable building codes and OSHA requirements to
maintain a safe work site, by implementing good housekeeping regulations and
safety requirements, enforcing safe work habits and observing OSHA and any statelevel
agencies’ regulations.
Prepare punch-list audit for each project and ensure that all punch-list items have
been completed prior to owner orientations/occupancy.
Establish and maintain contact with appropriate NM DOT officials and inspectors as
needed and verify that NM DOT final inspection is complete and passed by the NM
DOT inspector.
Conduct post closing warranty assessments as necessary.
Manage project close-out and final documentation.
Mechanical
Medical gas piping, experienced with health care facilities, drafting and designing
plumbing systems for healthcare facilities
