As a multi-faceted mechanical systems designer, I have engineered, constructed, replaced and maintained critical facility infrastructures including electrical, HVAC, plumbing and mechanical systems. Consistently solving complex engineering problems while remaining within budget and project timelines are cornerstones of my professionalism. In addition to my ability to direct successful full lifecycle projects, I am known for…
Keeping projects on-time, under budget and within all specifications
Engineering efficient systems that meet client, governmental and company requirements
Coordinating cross functional teams to enable high quality results
Negotiating construction solutions that are cost efficient and safe
Writing system specifications for educational, commercial and business facilities
My BS in Organizational Management was earned at Bethel College and my AS degree in Architectural Technology is from the Indiana Vocational Technical College. I am consistently described as an individual contributor with excellent attention to detail and streamlining construction operations.
KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Provided cost effective construction solution. Large air handler was installed over a weekend. Investigated the installation and immediately determined the contractor had not properly set the unit. Pulled together the cross-functional team consisting of the architect, contractor and owner and advised both the problem and a unique, cost effective solution. Negotiated reinstallation at 50% of the original cost. Avoided future warranty claims.
Successfully coordinated difficult system renovation. Critical project required significant engineering and tight scheduling response to renovation and new addition to educational building. Identified key phases, anticipating problem areas to minimize time disruptions. Construction and rehab were done with little disruption to school schedule. Project was completed on-time and under budget even with difficult code enforcement constraints.
Brought $100M project in on-time and under budget. During construction of new hospital, two team leaders quit. Incorporated engineering, design, administration and construction disciplines into one position. Provided seamless transition by overcoming construction errors, managing low-bid contractor issues, troubleshooting design conflicts and documenting build processes to realization.
