DESCRIPTION:

Many of the paintings especially old one’s suffer from the cracks those are the valuable paintings. An integrated methodology for the detection and removal of the cracks in Digitized paintings. The cracks are detected by thresh-holding the output of the Top-hat transform. After that thin brush stokes which have been misidentified cracks are removed using the Median-radial basis function. Finally crack filling using the statistic filters.
