Goal Statement:

All my life, creating things has been my joy. As a child, legos were my toy of choice. Later I moved onto writing stories. Now I program, because I find it gives me unrivaled freedom to create my dreams in ways that can truly benefit other people.

Educational Background:

Bachelor of Science achieved at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, majoring in Computer Science, in December of 2011. The equivalent of approximately 68 semester hours.

Coursework included simple web design, simple java games, unix shell scripting, OpenGL in C++, Image Processing, simple AI in prolog, Human Computer Interaction, C# .Net (including LINQ and MS MVC2), finite state machines, dealing with unix system calls in C, and more.

Work Experience:

No real work experience apart from some volunteer work at a local middle school, helping with the school network. Only graduated less than a year ago, before moving back to the USA in late January.

Additional Information:

I've been writing simple programs in my spare time, including the beginning of some simple game engines in java and C#. Currently working on a solar system simulator in OpenGL using C#. I can provide code snippets or the project file if needed.

I've also gone through some tutorials in ASP.NET MVC3, and the Windows Communication Foundation.

I also know some Japanese, and while I'm certainly not fluent and can't read more complicated things, I can speak and understand it relatively well.
