MAY 2011- Present- Production Supervisor, Ring Container Technologies, Saint Joseph, MO: Supervise 6-10 production, maintenance and receiving personnel in a plastic manufacturing facility that supports the food industry. Responsible for meeting safety, quality, production, efficiency and budget metrics, as well as ensuring GMP standards compliance for food-grade products. Responsible for hiring, training, and qualification of shift production personnel.

October 2010-May 2011-Engineering Technician (Document Control/Assembly Process), V-Rod Assembly, Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Kansas City, MO: Responsibilities included the development and implementation of documentation for the assigned assembly line. Work with Assembly engineering, as needed, as a liaison across the different shifts, per the contract. Assisted in resolving issues that affected daily and future new product issues. Assisted in providing tooling, fixturing, and process equipment specifications in launching and debugging assembly lines. Recommended and coordinated activities to ensure new model parts and assemblies are processed, tooled, and assembled to optimize quality & increase efficiency. Developed and implemented a balanced assembly process to yield quality motorcycles within defined throughput cycle times and in compliance with ISO & OSHA requirements. Developed the necessary process documentation, assembly graphics and visual aids to support the successful implementation of several product/process changes, on a multi-platform assembly line. Set a new standard for preparation for ISO/TUV audits, and document control and quality assessment documentation procedures for the entire facility.

March 2009-January 2010-Plant Line Support (Material Handling), Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Kansas City, MO: Provided needed production parts at point of use in assembly processes, using various material handling equipment. Utilized computerized and RF/scanner equipment for ordering, tracking inventory/movement status of needed supplies. Additional tasks included receiving, disbursement, order fulfillment and refurbishment.

June 2004-March 2009- Production Technician I (Dyna and V-Rod Assembly), Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Kansas City, MO: Performed assembly tasks on motorcycles in a non-traditional work environment, in a world class production facility. Daily duties included monitoring quality issues, preparing subassemblies, and electronic function checks of completed subassemblies. Performed additional duties as quality assurance support role and management/operations liaison. Utilized numerous automated and semi-operated production setups and tooling centers.

December 2000-June 2004-Production/Receiving Supervisor, MeadWestvaco Consumer and Office Products, Saint Joseph, MO: Supervised 10-35 production, maintenance and shipping personnel in 3 departments, operating 5-20 high-speed machines in a union manufacturing facility. Daily duties included monitoring and reporting of production, safety, payroll, maintenance status, and documentation of training and substandard performance. Utilized SAP/ERP systems and RF scanner equipment for ordering raw materials, as well as inventory control and tracking. Performed duties of shift Maintenance Supervisor, to include tool/part crib management, work order and job management, and utilization of maintenance personnel. Receiving duties included preparing bills of lading, monitoring inbound/outbound shipments, preparation of waste container shipments, inventory control, and safety training.

March 2000-November 2000-Plant Manager, Nuway Rental Services, Saint Joseph, MO: Provided overall leadership, profit/loss accountability, and daily management for the industrial uniform and linen production facility. Duties included inventory management, production scheduling, hiring, training, assignment, discipline and firing of plant employees, safety, purchase of production supplies, and physical plant maintenance.

July 1997-March 2000- Operations Officer (Project Officer), U.S. Army Battle Command Training Program, Fort Leavenworth, KS: Planned and coordinated execution of computer-based simulation exercises and command seminars. Excelled in setup and overall supervision of 150 person operations center; coordinated all operations, communications, audio/visual support, and use of training facilities for up to 5,000 personnel. Set a new standard for the preparation of numerous information and decision briefings to higher headquarters and fellow unit members.

July 1996-July 1997-Training Detachment Commander, U.S. Army Jungle Operations Training Battalion, Fort Sherman, Panama: Primary Company Trainer at the United States military’s only jungle environment training facility. Led a 10 man training detachment, responsible for the planning, preparation, and conduct of live-fire and force-on-force jungle warfare training, to train combat units for military operations in a jungle environment.

September 1994-June 1996- Anti-Armor Company Commander, Fort Campbell KY: Commanded an 87- man anti-armor company in an air assault infantry battalion. Responsible for the health, welfare, training, discipline and tactical employment of 87 personnel, in 5 subordinate units. Accounted for the maintenance, and serviceability of 30 million dollars worth of vehicles, weapons, electronics/communications gear, and equipment.

January 1993 - July 1993- Battalion Maintenance Officer, Fort Irwin, CA: Supervised all organizational maintenance of approximately 140 tracked and 180 wheeled vehicles, in the largest mechanized infantry battalion in the U.S. Army, at the National Training Center, Ft. Irwin, CA. Managed a budget in excess of 40 million, and maintained a readiness rate above 95%. Responsible for the utilization, training, and safety of an 80-man maintenance section.
