SUMMARY

I am an electronic engineer with over 3 years of professional experience in software development, analysis and architecture, focused primarily on .NET using C#, Windows Forms, ASP.NET, WCF,SQL Server, MySQL. My responsibilities have encompassed the full project lifecycle including requirements definition, functional and technical design, application development, solution delivery and support in projects and solutions for the telecommunications industry and health providers.

I am a high technical leader of software development teams that run under Agile’s development processes such as SCRUM and XP, as well as in more traditional environments like RUP. I feel comfortable working on large-scale team projects or on my own.

I have experience solving complex problems and pushing difficult tasks through to a successful conclusion within tight deadlines. When required, I can pick up new skills or programming languages quickly.

My immediate aspirations are to continue developing solutions based on the .NET Framework using languages such as C# or VB, while learning and getting more experience on the exciting .NET platform and the forthcoming technologies.

Junior Technical Software Architect / Experienced Software Developer January 2010 - April 2010

• Promoted as Junior Technical Software Architect of the mainly Operational Support Systems (OSS) system developed by TES America. The (OSS) is a physical and logical inventory for telecommunications operators, having truthful, centralized and opportune information constantly available, acting as an integrator for technical areas, processes, data and personnel.

• Participated with two other architects and one senior developer in the design of the database and application data structure in the addition of the SDH, DWDM, and 3G networks modules to the OSS in the two mainly mobile service providers in the region.

• Participated with two more architects in the brainstorm and design for an update of the OSS architecture, from two-tier architecture to three-tier architecture.

• Indentified and optimized lengthy queries and lengthy transactions inside the OSS.

• Designed and developed Web Services in the OSS for the interaction with the iManager T2000, a network management system developed by Huawei. The Web Services and integration were developed using WCF.NET in 3 Sprints of 3 developers, in each sprint I was the Scrum Master.

• Training and mentoring of a group of 4 junior developers in the .NET technologies.

TES America Andina - Software Developer February 2009 - January 2010

• Developed a WEB interface for migrating and registering in a centralized database, the Microwave Network Infrastructure of a regional Microwave Service Provider distributed in 3 countries. The data stored in the database has to generate the Spectrum Inventory Reports that the Microwave Service Provider has to deliver to the Telecommunications Regulatory Entity operating in each country. Project was divided in 3 main sprints for the Presentation - tier, Logic - tier, and Data - tier, with 3 developers in each sprint.

o Developed the user interface of the web application, using ASP.NET, and AJAX.NET.

o Developed business objects using CSLA.NET rules, in the Logic-tier of the application. I was the scrum master in this sprint.

o Designed and created the Data Access Layer and database structure for storing the Network infrastructure elements using ADO.NET, LINQ and SQL Server 2005. I was the scrum master in this sprint.

o Automated the creation of most of the DAL using MyGeneration Code Generator.

• Created a system able to maintain a history log of data changes in a SQL Server 2005 database, utilizing database triggers, and XML to store the changes of the data.

TES America medical unit applies the concept of telemedicine systems to create software having marked importance for managing information and its traffic regarding patients and doctors through IT-based networks.

Software Developer August 2008 - February 2009

• Designed and developed a Telemedicine System allowing real time medical information traffic between different hospitals which have installed the telemedicine System. The Traffic Medical Information (TMI) system allows Scheduling Medical Appointments, requesting Medical and mergency interconsultations between remission and reference hospitals in 29 municipalities in rural areas using fixed satellite service. The system was built using Windows Forms and Web Forms for reporting the telemedicine system statistics. Project was executed by 5 developers and an experienced developer.

o Created a duplex communication for the remission and reference hospitals utilizing WCF. NET full duplex services.

o Designed and created a normalized database structure in SQL Server 2005 for storing patients information, medical appointments and emergency internconsultations.

o Participated in the deployment and support of the application using .NET Click Once technology.

TES America Andina - Software Developer August 2007 - August 2008

• Implementation of the OSS system in the second most important mobile service provider in Colombia. This project was executed by 5 developers and one experienced developer. We used both Scrum and RUP methodologies in the execution of the project.

• Participated in the system requirements definition with 2 more developers and a consultant.

• Successfully migrated the database of the OSS system from SQL Server 2000 to MySQL Server 5.1.

• Re-structured the Access Data Layer of the OSS to support SQL Server, MySQL Server and future ORACLE, using ADO.NET and Enterprises Services.

• Automated the creation of most of the DAL using MyGeneration Code Generator.

• Created an API of the OSS utilizing WEB Services WCF.NET in order to communicate the OSS with an application developed in JAVA.

• Acquired two new programming languages, JAVA and MySQL in 2 weeks of development.

• Deployed and supported the application using .NET Click Once hosted on an Apache Server.
