RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for managing operation, maintenance & construction of landscape pump sets, generators, reservoirs, wells, irrigation networks, irrigation systems, water display including the following duties:

Design Section:

- Execution of soft and hard landscaping works

- Design and implementation of micro irrigation systems like drip, sprinkler, Bubbler irrigation system

- Supervision and co-ordination of work at site

- Labor assessment and management

- Quantity surveying and cost evaluation of the schemes

Technical Section

- Making BOQ, budget, project execution schedule, etc.

- Approvals of materials, shop drawings, checking the method statements, inspect materials supplied on site, etc.

- Guide sub contractors on safety practices procedures, construction methodology and installation procedures, etc.

- Supervision and approval of executed work, checking and approval for as built drawings, commissioning of the irrigation, water display, pumping systems, etc.

- Supervise operation maintenance including handing over & take over of the project, asset condition survey, geo coordinates survey, etc.

- Prepare planting soil mix as per soil condition & water quality

Choose the best suitable palms, trees, shrubs, hedges, ground covers, lawn grass, flowers, etc. based on location and climatic condition

- Calculate plants required for the project & their pit size, volume of sweet soil needed, volume of inorganic & organic fertilizers needed, volume of soil to be replaced, weed, pest & disease control methods required and their quantities, manpower & machineries needed for soil works, etc.

- Choose the planting season, estimate project duration and its cost, etc.

Irrigation System

- Recommend the best suitable irrigation materials to clients like single outlet, multi outlet & inline emitters, rotating, impact & gear driven sprinklers, pop up sprinklers & sprayers, gun sprinklers, valve in head sprinklers, mini & micro sprinklers, pressure compensating & adjustable flow bubblers, residential, commercial & satellite controllers, Y & angle strainers, remote control valves, quick coupling valves, rain, freeze, wind, soil moisture & flow sensors, pressure regulators, fertilizer injectors, solenoid cables, decoders, weather stations, central control irrigation software, etc

- Design automatic central control irrigation system, calculate plants peak water requirements, friction losses in irrigation system, etc.

- Choose pipe sizes, lengths, solenoid cable sizes lengths, remote control valves sizes, etc.

- Prepare irrigation schedule for various season

- Operate maintain irrigation system & rectifying the damages

- Preparation of the Operation & Maintenance manual.

Irrigation Network

- Choose suitable pipe type (HDPE, LLDPE, LDPE, CPVC, UPVC, DI, AC, GRP, etc), specification (PE 100, PE 80, DIN 16, DIN 10, ASTM Class 200, ASTM SCH 40, ASTM SCH 80, etc) and their sizes (12 mm to 600 mm) based on site condition, irrigation system, landscape pattern, pump set capacity, etc.

- Execute irrigation pipe line net work as per irrigation design, site condition with suitable air & pressure relief valves based on elevation difference

- Operate maintain irrigation net works and rectifying damages

Pump Set

- Design irrigation pump set based on total peak water requirement of project, total friction losses in pipe lines, pump set over all efficiency and required flow & pressure of the irrigation system, accordingly choosing type & capacity of duty pump, standby pump, jockey pump & its numbers

- Choose pump type like single stage horizontal centrifugal pump, multi stage vertical mounted centrifugal pump, submersible pump, mono block submersible pump set, reciprocating pump, air lift pump, jet pump, etc for various applications

- Choose filtration unit (sand media filters, screen filters, disk filters, hydro cyclone filters, y strainers, etc) based on water quality, pump capacity & type of irrigation system

- Choose valves (gate valve, isolation valve, check valve, foot valve, ball valve, butterfly valve, air & pressure relief valve, motorized valve, pressure reducing valve, pressure sustaining valve, etc), variable frequency drives, pressure vessels, pressure switches, control panels, etc.

- Execute pump set installation, testing & commissioning of pump system

- Operate maintain irrigation pump set & rectifying damages

Reservoirs & Wells

- Design reservoir capacity based on peak water requirement, water in flow rate to reservoir, pump capacity, etc.

- Choose reservoir type like surface (GRP) or sub surface (RCC) tank, etc.

- Choose well type like tube well, bore well & dug well as per soil & rock formation, water table level, aquifer nature, etc.

- Choose well location, well type, well depth, well drilling machine, etc. as per hydro geological details

- Calculate well yield, required number of wells, cost for well construction, etc

- Execute project as per specification & maintenance

Quantity Surveying

- Estimates of capital or assets costs including development costs, Estimates of operating, manufacturing and maintenance costs through an assets life cycle, Risk assessment and analysis, Financial analysis, Project cost control, Planning and scheduling, Project feasibility and budget assessment, Cost management, Procurement management, Contract administration, etc.
